pricing of the old C5 Z06 vs the C5 and C5 Vert..just to compare with upcoming Z06
Hi, i am not too familiar with the pricing of the old gen vettes..since i was not into them until the C6s were released..so what was the base price for the C5, C5 Vert and C5 Z06?

I believe the C5, when it came out in 1997, was about $37,500. That would be 1997. I think the convertible was around $46,000. And the Z06, in 2001, was about the same as a convertible. I'm sure someone has accurate prices.

List--with the $800 destination charge (all cars get it) was about $52,500 to 54,000-give or take $250 (limited options--electostatic mirrors, door ding protective panel things, liense plate holder, color surcharges, seat memory) but up to about $57,500 with the CE option....obvioulsy at the end of the year clearence sales folks bought cheaper, rebates etc ...but those put you into the ballpark for MSRP
