what do you guys think about posting all bad valve dropping motors with the name of the person that built the motor, i have never seen this posted on the forum i have read all the issues but no one has put the builders name out there, just say in could it be a lot of the same people everyone saids they all come from the same place on the forum it would be interesting.

That's crazy. It wasn't an assembly issue.

John1953 - Not sure if you're active on this forum any more but you're the one that built my 2011 LS7 too. My VIN ends in 4319. What an amazing car. Hope all is well. Thanks!

I just bought an 09z with 9300 miles. Ron Hein built mine. It moves. Love the car. She's going to get heads done at AHP in LA in the next month.
Pretty awesome owning the last time 427's will be offered. I feel honored to have one. Also last of the naturally aspirated z06's...
I think they'll definitely be collectors items for that reason.

Default My sc1 collectors

Last four # 1490

Where are people getting these other numbers from. Like number 234 things like that.
My car just hit 1624 miles so I can't tell you how good of a job he did . But so far so good. I have a full motor warranty for life time of my owning the car so that helps .lol

Can someone tell what number of the Z06s built in 2013 is my Z06 if my VIN 1GY152DE7D5100023. My engine says built by Richard K. McBride. I've been wondering this since I bought this car in 2014. I was told the 00023 means it was the 23rd Corvette built in 2013 but I also was told it means it was the 23rd Z06 Corvette built in 2013. Can someone help me with this?

Default Does a new motor have a build sheet...

Hey there guys I have experience the worst thing ever a day before my 37 birthday Easter Sunday my motor had a catastrophic failure yes it was a valve dropped and I will have to post who built it cars at my dealer getting new motor gmpp bumper to bumper warranty no mods I changed oil every 3 thousand miles I use amsoil better than Mobile 1 I go to one gas station that only has reg gas as no ethanol, I am super fussy about things with my babe 08 z06 black I am second owner bought it in 2013 car has 19184 when engine experience it's failure . But I want to know two things if any one got this far in my post ,lol but can anyone tell me if gm replacement engine has a build sheet like the guy who built it, and if I check my valves under warranty to insure myself of this happen again will me checking my valves void my warranty in any way , cause I was thinking about buying a ext warranty.

The builder has nothing to do with dropping a valve. Please, no one make any further comments about valves on this thread. This has always been kind of a positive thread instead of referencing the above like 90% of the threads in this section do.
Feel free to post a separate thread if you are unclear about valves
Have a great day
