Default Pictures of Installed Rear Third Brake Light Sticker

While I was doing the install of the color coded rear spoiler, I put on the corvette brake sticker. Looks great when you apply the brakes at night time. Simple mod that I thought was cool. Here are some pictures:

That's pretty sweet looking. I guess it's there just in case the person you just beat forgets what he was racing.

Not bad, but that's the C5 lettering. Personally I like the C6 lettering more: the O overlaps the R, and the top of the V crosses the ETTE.

I'll still give it a and a

I'm sorry, but that looks very Ricey. What's next? WINGS and SPOILERS? These cars don't need stuff like this. Would you see a guy with a Ferrari doing this?

And why block off a perfectly good light to keep people from running over you? The middle light is there to protect your a** end from the SUVs.

I hate seeing C6's and C5's with weird stuff like this, so maybe I'm a little over sensitive to keeping it "simple and clean". Maybe some bling on the wheels and exhaust, but that's my limit.

Here's some of my pet pevs for C5's and C6's. When I see someone driving a Vette with these types of items installed I want to scream.

Ferrari guys can't afford personalization mods after paying for the Ferrari. Corvette guys like to make the car their own.

On the one hand, the "Corvette" decal doesn't look that bad...ok to me, but I tend to agree with your point more.

Too much chrome and brightwork crap can detract from the "clean" look, I agree. And it doesn't take much of this to make what is a beautiful car tacky-looking.

My least-favorite accessory is any sort of "wing." God, do these look stupid, IMO. Only one exception: Porsche 911, where they're installed by the manufacturer, and they're not some "J.C. Whitney" add-on.

Well you can have your opinon. I dont think it looks ricey and it doesnt effect the brightness of the tail light.

Opps, you got me there. I bought my wife a 2004 Porsche 911 last year and when we did the deal, I got the dealer to toss in a rear spoiler. So I guess I'm guilty of "crap" on a car too.

I agree with you 100% but I would not post that on the forum (hmmmm, I guess I just did ). Despite the fact that you and me like our vettes vanilla it does not mean that it is bad. Everybody is entitled to have their own taste be it good or bad. This is why they make both salt and pepper. With that being said, it is your vette, do as you like to it.

I'm thinking that maybe they can afford personalization. Most of the personalization modifications come in the form of 10K of new HRE wheels and tires; or a special mesh rear valence to surround the tail lights. These are not only very expensive mods, but also extremely tasteful - only a true enthusiast would recognize that the pieces were not indeed stock.

That being said - I don't think this particular mod is untasteful - it looks just fine.

Side fender shields
Daytona seats
Ceramic Brakes

Add these to the list for about $15K-$20 more.

Maybe if people did not mod the crap out of their vettes they could afford a Ferrari. Sorry not meaning anything personal.

If its not put into performance its just crap to wipe off, add weight, and to distract other drivers as they pass.

Suttle is key for me.
