ZO6 Convertables??
I was at MTI last week and saw these. They belong to a father and son that wanted ZO6 convertables. Since Chevy doesn't build them, they decided to build them themselves. They purchased all factory ZO6 body panels and had them installed and dropped both cars at MTI for 427s!!

Actually, that's a very clever option for the mod types. It's not for me, but with LS7 crate engines available, we'll probably see this more and more.......not bad.

Was toying with the same idea, until I saw the price of the front quarter panels. The nose, rear bumper and rear quarter panels were dirt cheap.
Looks like they need the correct offset rim in the front, the one they have looks to tucked in.

Looks are one thing.............being a Z06 is another. They should have just bought Z06's.............to heck with the vert...............I bet those guys in the wrecked Z06's are glad they had a solid top.............

This is actually my future plan, but I will not place the badges on a non-Z06. Reason? I'm not taking any $50K+ cars on the track anymore. I'll have a "GT" car for the street and some type of track dog that I won't cry over if I put her into the wall.

My last 5 corvettes were all convertibles, ergo I love ragtops.
That being said, I think Z06 Verts whether they're factory or not, lose that intimidating stance and look they currently have.
SW, thanks for posting the pics! Any with the top down?

For some reason there is a part number specifically for the Z06. I'm not sure why.
The rear fenders were under 250. Wach bumper was around 350 and the front fenders were 1,200 each
