Why is the Z06 bracket so much more than the C6 bracket?

Because it is different from the standard C6 Removable bracket and volume is less so it cost us more.

Great product! It seems that most of us Maryland guys have your bracket and love it. GM should consider using it rather than that "Mickey Mouse" piece of junk that they give you with the car. thanks

Hi Ray and Peter, I just returned from my local Chevrolet dealer. I had them install the C6 Z06 specific license plate holder that I ordered from you and we also trimmed it using the matching body color GM Frame that I used on the rear plate. All I can say is AWESOME!! I am so glad that I ordered the Z06 specific holder from you as opposed to purchasing the C6 holder that my Chevrolet dealer sells from you. They simply notch the C6 bracket to fit the Z06 but with the correct bracket it looks so much better. Even the mechanic that installed it for me said that he didn't understand why they wouldn't carry Z06 specific holders for Z06 owners. Oh well thanks again Ray and Peter and to all the C6 Z06 owners out there that are required to install a front license plate look no further then Ray or Peter and their staff at Top Flight Reproductions. I have your product installed and it is working great. I got pulled over the other day and got a warning. The officer said next time it would be a ticket. I installed it the next day. But it's nice to know that I can easily add/delete the plate anytime with ease.

One of the best products I have received, which is many. Excellent documentation, and extras included are first class. Highly recommended. Would caution, it does raise my temp 10 degrees, oil and water. But it is great looking.

Looking at the pictures, it appears that the license frame touches the body...does it? And if so, does mar or scratch the paint?

Properly installed, neither the license plate nor the frame will touch the deformable bumper. Ray and Peter were kind enough to let me do the test Z06 installation for them and there should be no risk as long as you follow their instructions.

I don't see any significant difference in oil and coolant temps in street driving, with or without this front plate mounting, and I've been running this bracket since last February and into the current hot summer in Maryland.

When you're really pushing hard (e.g. on the track), the beauty of it is that you can take it off. For normal driving, it really doesn't have a significant effect on either.

And no, it doesn't touch the paint work, properly installed.
