Hi all,a freind is asking how much does a Z06 weigh and the weight difference between an earlier C5 Z06 and a C6 coupe.

Not 100% sure about the C5 Z... but Chevy advertises 3132 for the new Z06.

There is not a big difference but the Z-06 has carbon fiber in it to help it get the weight down. I would have thought the Z-06 would be significanly alot lighter than the base coupe.

Thats a stock 2LT car 1/4 tank of gas with headers and stoptechs, which save about 35-45#s.

I forgot to mention-

Lou's son, Louis has a new 07 Z51 1LT base coupe, with the glass top and 1/8th of a tank, it weighed in at 3143. Solid top weighs 23#s. No picture of that one for you, sorry

With a full tank it should be around 3,150 lbs......
