Default GM Service Manual Z06

The GM Service Manuals are the real deal and a must have if you turn your own wrenches. They are 3 (big city phone book size) volumns for about a $cnote and a half. You can order by calling 1-800-551-4123 as shown in your owners manual pg. 7-15
or www.helminc.com

vol. 1 is GMP/06-Y-1 (general info., HVAC, Steering, suspension, Driveline, brakes)

vol. 2 is GMP/06-Y-2 ( Engine) !!! 1650 pages about the BIG LUMP!!!

vol. 3 is GMP/06-Y-3 (Trans, Body, Vehicle Controll Systems, Accessories)

The /06 is probably 2006 specific. If your Z is a 2007 it may be /07 you lucky 100,000 mile warranty guys

What does the service manual say about the sound-deadening/heat insulation in the 07 Z06? I have an 06 Z that I want to insulate to reduce road noise (the heat's not a problem in my car). According to Fitchner Chevy "parts Bob" the part number for the insulation is GM# 15864779, but its unclear where and how the insulation is to be properly installed - presumably above the rear tire wells.

Anything helpful in the service manual? Maybe not if it's specific to 06. Thanks in advance.

Nada, kit probably comes with instructions though. I love how the spare change that I carry in my center console burns the crap out of the guys hand at the drive thru window.

Keith,

Any tips for changing breaks and bleeding beyond the normal steps and process?

Thanks,

Jeff
