Halltech F1 brings Katech's Street Attack LS7 to 608 HP!
This dyno comparison was done by Katech Engines, in their controlled environment dyno cell, which also show BMEP, and BSFC comparisons.
The stock PowerCore filter is no slouch as the 600 HP numbers indicate, but the F1P45Z 2-Stage Street Filter (fully oiled) puts the peak HP at 602, and the F1 RACE Filter at 608 HP. It appears that the 2 Stage Foam was over-oiled for this testing, but it does not appear to be in the hunt as far as I'm concerned. 2 HP peak, is hardly worth the price of admission, unless you are driving in very dusty conditions, where the oiled foam filters better than anything on the market.
The street filter adds 7 more HP at 7,000 rpm, keeping the pulling power up to the normal shift points, and adds 5 more ft. lbs torque at 7,000 rpm.
Our Halltech F1P30Z RACE filter comes alive at 4800 rpm, adding 5 ft. lbs of torque at peak torque and 6 ft. lbs more than stock all the way to 6800 rpm. The HP gain is 8 HP peak at 6403 rpm and holds that 8 HP all the way to redline (7004 rpm).
Not bad for $199.00

Jim, not sure what you're trying to say about the F1P45Z. Was this particular 45Z over oiled and delivered a disappointing performance? Or, is a correctly oiled 45Z still not worth running?
My car (otherwise stock) feels quicker in the mid-range with the 45Z, however, when installed on the Katech motor it showed losses.
Can you explain further? TIA

The key is to lightly oil the surface. Debbie works the oil into the foam, saturating it with high tack oil. It will outperform stock when lightly oiled.

We are working on a new street filter that will be in testing this winter and may be done by this spring. Stay Tuned.
The RACE Foam is not for the street, but can be used occasionally for weekend events.
I have seen 10 RWHP with the F1P30Z when compared to stock on a stock motor.

Jim that is a nice gain. Give me a buzz 770-295-9301 we have an event in DEC I'd like to test against the callaway setup, we have 6 2006 to 2007 Z06's including 2 of our new 1350R twin turbo cars going. The dyno is one thing I would like to test on the track too. Talk with you soon.
Thanks

If you did not get the honeycomb, please call me or email me immediately.
We apologize for sending just part of the F1 filter. You are missing three more pieces.

Actually, what you get is 8 HP and 6 ft. lbs torque for $199.00. That's about $25.00/hp.
So far, that is probably the best bang for the buck in the LS7 aftermarket.

Yes .... price please, and give us the web link to the package details.
This looks to be the monster N.A. powerplant many are looking for.
Might I speculate ... near BLUE DEVIL type power

I've talked to Jim and he explained the cost reasoning behind the filter. I'm happy with it! Super easy install and you can definatly notice the intake is louder so it must be getting more air.
