If this doesn't get you going you may want to schedule a visit to your cardiologist to check for a pulse!

More to come!

Time for narration once again

Plugged holes in the block that lead to the production oil pan.

New oil pressure inlet to the block. If you look to the far right you can see the plugged inlet where the factory pump would be.

Installing main bearings

Pre-lubing main bearings

Installing crankshaft

Pre-lubing main cap bolts. We later had to trim the studs for the Dailey pan

Checking crankshaft end play

Torqueing main caps

Installing camshaft

Mike,
Jeff tells me that you just returned from Spring Mountain. Care to tell us about your experience?

Pistons/Rods lined up and waiting

Installing piston/rod to the block

Piston installed

What .875 liters of displacement looks like

Short block coming together

Cc'ing the piston. Even though this spec is known and we've already done the math in the blueprinting process, the volume is still checked.

Modified front crankshaft sprocket to fit the new front cover

Degreeing the camshaft

Assembled bottom end

Checking vertical valve drop, piston-to-valve clearance and camshaft timing

That my friend is definitely the funniest thing I've read in a long time!
The more you think about it, the more you realize how true it is!

You are a class act!

There haven't been too many vendors posting on my threads. It's refreshing to see you chime in, in a positive way just to say 'cool'.

I've never met you but my money says you're a stand up guy!

John,

Jeff is working too hard and mixed up the names.

I was at Bondurant Racing School tuning up for this monster and got my SCCA license. More on that later.....
