Default Piloti shoes

I just got my first pair of Pilotis. I like them but they're pretty stiff, especially in the midsole. For those that have worn them, will they loosen up?

Thanks, Kevin

Which ones do you have? My Prototipos are very comfortable, but I wish the front soul was wider...

They do, but not much. I like mine so much that I wear them in place of my sneakers. I find that when I drive my car with any other style shoe I don't have the feel or control of the pedals.

They seem to be wearing very well to and for $75 they are cheaper than most sneakers and look better too.

Exactly right!

They are the way to go for heel and toe or just fun driving. They are so comfortable that I use Pilotis exclusively at work (dentist).

BTW, the Mulholland are very flexible. They have the short laced portion.

When I first got mine, I wore them exclusively in the car but now I wear them everywhere.

I was really having trouble with the pedals with the other style shoes..

They work fine.. and are necessary if you take a driving Course.

Which shoes are you guys getting? Went to Griot's garage site and there must be 25 different models there to pick from. The Spyder model sounds like maybe a close one.

They don't make them in my size!

By the way I have Piloti DTM's and love them.

I wear Spa's. Very comfortable until the dog chews on them.

I bought the Piloti Spyder SV Series which have the neat toggle lacing system, I bought them in Ecosse (Blue) as show in the photo, but am buying a second pair in Red.

http://www.autosportcatalog.com/inde...id=3805&cid=48

They are an incredible and comfortable all around footwear and worth every penny of their $75.

I have the Piloti Spyder SV shoes. They are incredibly comfortable at the track or on longer cruises. They were never stiff.
I won't go to the track in any other shoe.

I called my local mall and they all didn't have any racing shoes, asked them where they might have it and they don't konw! I called like 5 diff shoe stores in my mall!!

Foot Locker might carry the Puma driving shoe but I did not like them. Piloti cannot be beat. I got mine here: Link

Good luck!

I think I will just buy them at the school, I am going to spring mountain driving school they have piloti there, but I am afraid brand new shoes will hurt my feet and the school will be 3 days, what do you guys think? do you think it's ok just wear brand new shoes or maybe I will get a pair of tennis shoes and break them in. need a pair of tennis shoes anyways

Thanks, Kevin
Pilotis are a good "hybrid" shoe. Designed to be thin enough for pedal feel, but thick enough for walking around an not feeling every little pebble under your feet.

For heel/toe braking, personally, I'm going to switch to something with a thinner sole. Helll, I get more feel if I wear my Dockers.
