The vast majority are replacing with "100% stock runflats." They are good tires.

I am going with the Michelin Pilot sport run flats. 345 rears 275 fronts.
I only wish I got 11k out of a set of tires. I have gone thru 2 sets of GY's.
3K on first set with a few burnouts and now 4K on second set with zero burnouts. Just lots of right foot and a few autocrosses, and about 50 laps at a track.
The Michelins are a little more money $460 each but they come with a deeper tread to start with.

They are great tires! I would not put anything else on my car. The main reason is the performance, but the other reason is that Goodyear is an American company, and I buy American. Also that is the tire GM puts on it, ie: original factory tires. I have over 15k miles on my tires and I need to replace them, but 15k miles, with all the burnouts???? Thats great performance to me.

Where did you get them installed for $1,114? Tires Direct wants $1,214 just for the tires shipped (that's with the 275/40/18s and the 345/30/19s). And obviously mounting and balancing is on top of that.
FYI, they said that Nitto now lists a 275/35/18 Invo, but it's not available yet. He estimated 30-60 days until it's available.

Ride is much quieter, road (steering) feel is more communicative, turn-in and handling (grip) feel the same on the street (at street performance levels) as the stock RFs. I would also think with their tread pattern they will be much better in the rain. I have not had these on the track nor do I intend to use them for that purpose. I have other tires for HPDE. They are the best option for street tires IMPO

If they don't have our sizes listed in their inventory, they can call Nitto direct an get them shipped to the store pretty quickly. I have bought a lot of tires thru them so the manager of the shop deals with me on prices.

3k miles, no burn outs and my rears are almost gone. if you daily drive or go on a road trip, and get caught in a downpour, the stock tires are down right dangerous. i almost lost it on i45 near galveston tx on the 4th of july. i could go no faster than 45mph and even that was a white knuckle drive in a medium type rain. im done with the GY's for good.
poor mileage and poor wet performance along with a high price tag is why im going to go michelin or another alternative if available in a month
as far as the new invo tires, do yourself a favor and go to discounttiredirect.com and read the feed back on these tires. most everyone complained about poor performance and a mushy side wall. most also said they would never buy another set. if you want a soft quite ride, fine, if you need performance, look elsewhere

My experience is also different, these tires handle very well on the street, and the price difference between PS2 and INVOs is staggering (almost get a whole set of INVOs for 2 rear PS2's). But hey, it's your money .

As far as HPDE goes, it depends on your level of skill and how far you want to push the car. I have been on the track with Firstone RFs and Kumhos MXs on my C5, and BF Goodrige street tires on my Z51 C6 . I graduated to Nitto 555R IIs in the C5, and now Mich Sport Cups for the C6/C6Z seeking more grip as my skills improved. These INVOs have a treadwear rating of 220, which is comparable to the Goodridge and Kumho tires, sticky, but not R compound (100 or lower TWR). However, their tread pattern suggests that they would start to give much sooner than the stock GY RF tires. If you can live with that for the "occasional" HPDE, it's up to you.
