by all means thanks for the suggestion ron. im having a hard time with that new clutch. it wants to creep way before the actual engagement point. im new to twin disks and was very disappointed that i was able to run a 1.70 60' with a stock clutch and nitto invos and only a 1.6 with radials and a twin disk. but practice makes perfect so as soon as the tracks oped back up after winter i will be trying again. id like to see a 10.5 atleast before i put the giggle gas on it.

So after over a 3 year hiatus from drag racing, I felt the urge to run my 2011 Carbon Edition Z06. It was my first time running this car. I borrowed a set of 19" chrome 5 star Z06 wheels with MT 305-35-19 drag radials from Gary2004Z06. They are approximately 2" TALLER than the DR's I used on my 09Z when I ran 10.75. I knew they'd hurt, just not how much.
I didn't have to shift into 4th on any of my passes, like I normally would. I made 4 passes. This run was my best of the day, and was my 3rd pass. The other 3 were 1.8x 60' & 11.3X @ 126-127.xx.

It was good to get back out there, but was weird not doing it at a rental, like I was used to doing....

Anyone know how much a 2" taller tire hurts a run due to de-gearing, weight, etc?? Naturally I was rusty, but I feel the slower times were mainly from the added weight of the wheels & tires and the MUCH taller 19's. I'd have to get custom CCW's or something to fit over the Carbon Ceramic brakes, but I don't really drag race anymore, so I'm not willing to shell out the $2G's for a set up.

I posted because it's my 3rd car on the fast list. lol

Nice to see you out there running, could you borrow Kyles ccw wheels by chance? Would like to see if you can better your previous 60' with the mag ride and put daylight under tires like the zr1 does

I don't think the RWHP is there for that in a stock car. I also think the car rocks back better in Tour mode rather than Sport mode....I could be wrong though.

Good to see you're missing the thrill and back at it again.

Yes, tour mode does weight transfer better than sport.

330'........... 3.941
660'........... 6.199
660’ mph... 110.30
1000'.......... 8.164
1320'..........9.827
1320’ mph… 133.67

Name of the track: Royal Purple (Houston)

Image of complete Time Slip:

Name: HRP%209.8x.jpg

I have included the below picture because the above slips only show one lane, but this shows what the complete slip looks like with the dates (They hadn't updated their computer since 2014 with some Marketing of an event on the slip) Thus, this is a slip n slide pass I made in one lane and the other is my best pass.

Gary, I added the full timeslip, but all they give you at Royal Purple is a half time-slip. Not sure why.... I guess to protect the NT racers.

The main reason I haven't updated was because I had a hidden nitrous kit, and I was trying to keep it quiet. This submission is with nitrous
