I love to keep the fastlist alive almost 2 month later after the run
Happy Black Friday

Seb
Best looking and sounding run I've seen! Truly impressive. I am in the process of changing out my 4.10 gears due to some noise. I think a 3.73 or 3.90 is better suited anyways, what gears are you using during that pass? Any insight greatly appreciated!

If you wish to submit your 10.67x pass, please edit your post so that the timeslip matches your time or delete the timeslip altogether since it is not required. Also please carry your incremental times to the 0.001 place for more accuracy.
TIA

Simply the best I can't say more. From the tune, to the build, to the driver, I don't think anyone puts all 3 down quite like you brother. I was so fortunate to be there and watch this record pass(es) go down. Truly epic to watch. Can't wait for bigger and better things for both of us next season

LOL just kidding my friend, your car and driving is amazing. I think for the 2016 season you need to invest in a HD video camera...the sepia tones are nice for your glamor shots on instragram but that driving deserves a better record for posterity. I can't make out the launch RPM in that video at all.

But you should be kind to your Yankee brother Gary too...
Yeah I own the best over the best printer out there.
This is the low quality james cell phone sorry James ....

This is the last run of the day before the track close and my girlfriends with camera, was already sitting in the trailer.

Congrats sir, you have convinced me to give the 315 Hoosiers a shot in the spring as your results are beyond impressive!

I notice you say C6 rearend and not c6z, is that a typo or are you running a different ratio in the diff now instead of the trans? Also wondering if you don't mind sharing the compression ratio since you say the heads are does that mean it is as well? One more thing if you don't mind me asking, was the belt on for the pass?

Sincerely, curious Chris

Hi Chris, it's not a typo!!! and coupled with it i'm running my stock Z06 trans ratio. The heads are completly stock porting and stock compression, so 11:1.

I'm looking at some aftermarket CNC porting and more compression for 2016 with a revised Iceman 2.0 cam to match the new heads porting and compression....

Personally, I'm always wondering if the belt trick was a joke... So yes the belt was on the car and I never ever removed it. RPMEXTRA can confirm this as well cause he have witnessed all my record run.

The hoosier 315 are quit agressive compound. The burnout lenght are tricky ... too much and it spin, and too little and it spin. But it can give you what you are looking for. They are not as much forgiving and consistant as a bias ply or slick tires, but very great tires overall that have filled my need.

Thx for kind of comments,

Best regards,

Seb

Hey Joe I hate when the cat is out of the bag. To clear up things, this is James new outfit for racing purpose only. I hope you understand. As for you're question on the launch. It's done at 2800-3000 RPM with the help of the two step. This is the highest I can go with the Drag radial.

Amazing achievements! Super impressive. Congratulations!

Question - have you had any durability/breakage issues with the C6 differential while running drag radials?

I was gonna let my wife's twin sister line seb up on the grooves, but for making a record pass and keeping sebs hand on the shifter it's best to make the right call. Wait till you see my next outfit lmao

So you are launching low and climbing the torque curve - that's interesting but obviously VERY effective, those 1.3's are no joke at all. I think most of the other guys, and me, rev them high and let them fly, letting either the tires spin a couple of turns or letting the clutch absorb the launch energy, all to avoid that dreaded bog.

Since you're running drag radials, they won't take the spin and hook technique...you're essentially bogging off the line which I try to avoid. Thus, you must have a torque monster of a cam. But..you stated months ago that you rev it to the moon (I think the moon is 7500). Those two are normally mutually exclusive.....a torque cam runs out of breath at the upper RPM's.

But thinking this through I think I guessed your secret. You have been consulting with Juic3d and installed variable cam timing like he has!!

The launch start rpm is highly dependent on the clutch, the material in it, and how hard it bites. That's why you have to launch at a completely different start rpm as Seb. But the concept/theory is the same. He's not bogging much especially on the low 1.3x. Your clutch is slipping somewhat allowing the high rpm launch. There's no magic to Seb's launch. He's just doing what the car wants and/or will allow with an aggressive throttle input which can be accomplished with or without a 2-step.

Congrats Seb.

Question - have you had any durability/breakage issues with the C6 differential while running drag radials?
I have removed it for inspection, last month after about 50 1/4 miles passes and 1 day of road race event at Mont tremblant circuit who I'm running 1.56 to 1.58 lap time on MPSC tire.

Perfect condition, backlash are within specs and no sign of wear on any parts (case, bearing, pinion, ring gear ect...)

Hope this help

Seb

Since you're running drag radials, they won't take the spin and hook technique...you're essentially bogging off the line which I try to avoid. Thus, you must have a torque monster of a cam. But..you stated months ago that you rev it to the moon (I think the moon is 7500). Those two are normally mutually exclusive.....a torque cam runs out of breath at the upper RPM's.

Joe, the time spent in designing the iceman cam has allowed seb to gain the absolute most out of the stock LS7 heads and his cars airflow. The car sounds meaner and healthier than anything that I have heard before. It's sounds like NASCAR territory if you heard it in person. It pulls like an ape down low and looses nothing (or next to nothing) on the upper rev area. I've seen it launch 25+ times and there is no bog it just rockets out. He has definitely got he's clutch foot release down to a science. many 1.3x 60fts on the table and you can't get that bogging.
No VVT cam I promise

Not sure Seb even has a dyno sheet. I know he likes tuning it at the track where it matters most as he did mine. when I picked up 7mph with a couple at track tunes, it was then I realized he was the real deal, even after being dyno tuned by someone else, Seb added power that I felt immediately at the track with him. dropping from 10.86 to 10.54 that day and then later achieving 10.35
