0.31 measured by Sport Auto in their wind tunnel.
GM published 0.34, but maybe the car got changed from the pre-production to the 2007 model that Sport Auto tested.

Now that .31 sounds right. If you do the math, a stock Z doesn't have enough HP to push a .34 car to 198 mph. But it can with a .31 coefficient of drag.

I have also read and seen in print .34 for the Z06. I think the c6 coupe is like .29. What was funny was the fact a 93 firebird had a lower cd than the current z06 - doesn't seem to bother me that much when I hit the gas

.34 for the Z06 are the numbers that ring a bell.
The increase is probably due to the increased frontal area and the extra intakes and the spoiler.
This most certainly isnt "simple" math. Not complex, but not simple!

Also the wider tires on the Z06 increase the cd.

Frontal area is separate from Cd. The reason Cd is higher for the Z is larger grill opening, lip spoiler, larger brake vents, different shaped fenders, rear spoiler, and wider tires, among other things. Cd is just a simple coefficient that is made up of many complex factors. Ultimately, drag increases with downforce design. The lift reduction at the front and rear of the car contributes to drag. The best way to compare drag data is Cd x A. This will give a good idea of drag effect differences between two different cars. A BMW M6 has a (slightly) lower CdA than the C6 Z06. The Viper SRT-10 has a (much) higher CdA. This is why an M6 with less power has a slightly higher (ungoverned) top speed than a Z06 and a Viper has a slightly lower top speed with more power. Your best bet for highest Vmax in a new Vette is to purchase a base C6 and add power (H/C, FI, or swapped LS7).

Yes..it's in the low .3's. Was very suprised to find out the boxy
