Default QM600 sound clips!!!

Hello guys,

As you know, the QM600 is one of the most versatile cams out today. The cam is very civil, yet mean enough to crush the competition. With tuning, many of our clients are making between 545 to 570 rwhp. Our E-tuning is $200 after your HP Tuners software purchase for
$499; www.hptuners.com . We can tune your Z for the QM600 cam and beyond.

Please listen and view the sound clip below; it was sent to me by one of our clients [CF member Luweegy] from Grand Junction Colorado.

Take advantage of our cam & spring kit sale: $685.95!!!

Thanks,
Carlos

Hello Mr. Jorday,

Yes we do sell a larger cam, but that cam is really geared for racing...too big for the streets.

Remember, bigger is not always better!!!

Thanks,
Carlos

They work...slowly. They are QuickTime files or .mov so make sure you have QuickTime installed.

The car sounds great! I just need to decide if I want to justify the costs. I was prepared for $3283.95 (which includes tune, ported intake and TB) but now I'm unsure if this is the way I want to go without headers which would run another $1500 and make it hotter and louder in the cockpit.

Yeah I know what you mean Mr. GrillinZ.

All I can say is try it and get the headers at a later time. Take advantage of the cam sale price save your duckings for the headers later. Yes, with headers, in cabin sound will be louder but the heat is not much greater than stock....to me!

Thanks,
Carlos

I agree, i didn't notice an increase in heat with the headers and any increase in loudness is marginal.

Wouldn't I need a re-tune after headers? Maybe I should move back to the Big "D" and this would be easier!

I totally agree with Carlos. When it comes to camshafts, bigger is not always better. Many have regretted going bigger and have had to spend $$$ to get it replaced.

Oh yeah, I've many guys make that mistake.

Also remember guys, for best results, a cam should be developed around the flow characteristics of the HEADS and NOT the other way.

Thanks,
Carlos

Can u tell us where the intake valve closing event happens at .050 tappet lift? I understand the grind itself is proprietary
