Default Merry Christmas to ME. BREMBO pics

Sometimes the best gifts are the ones you buy yourself. A 4 day weekend with nothing else to do, so I worked on the Z06.

Absolutely.

Congrats, J! Looks like a great install job!

Bad thing is, you don't have any "test-drive" weather up there?

Or do you?

Merry Christmas.

Thanks. Unfortunately you are right. The car is tucked in for the winter. No test drives until maybe April.

Now she will not only go like hell but stop on a dime too! CONGRATULATIONS and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Maybe you could borrow a set of matched chains from Mike (aka Short-Throw)!

Jim,

I think Jason may be better off with some good old fashioned studded tires.

The chains are great in the straights but lousy in the sweepers!

Oh boy................

I've driven this car in person. Now it will be the fastest stopping too! Jason used to brake before the 5 marker on our back straight, now it will be after the 4!

This will require frequent trips to the laundromat for future passengers!

I have the same kit but haven't installed it yet because I don't have a set of street wheels to clear the 15" kit. The first thing I did, though was clean and paint the hubs so they wouldn't rust and show through the track wheels that don't use center caps. Probably not worth doing though if you track the car enough as I am sure you know you'll be replacing them anyway.

Jason what is the black large round "tubing" goingfrom the center of the car to the wheel hub? sorry if this is an obvious question, is it some kind of ducting for cooling? Thanks

Enough talk concerning studs, chains, and the like! How about adding all wheel drive to that rascal Jason? Now you would be cool even in the Jan/Feb
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & New Year,
Chick
P.S. Might be a good project to work with shortthrow. Mike needs another project to keep busy since the bears aren't going anywhere this winter.

Initial report from Brembo was no. Then they have told me some of their customers are reporting yes. So of course, I had to try it. I bolted up my stock wheels and measured .045" clearance at the tightest point.

.045 is tight. thats about a credit card thickness or so. you just dont want a pebble to to get lodged at speed.

so 6/4 pistons
