Default 2008 Z06 Rear Shocks

Does anyone have the part numbers for the 2008 rear shocks? I have been told that they are softer than the ones on my 2006. Is that true? Will installing the newer shocks make a noticeable change in the ride?

Thanks.

may of 07 and later build

just get under your car from the rear, the shock number is low on the shock body. if it starts with a 2, its the redesigned shock

Default changed mine

My car is a early 2007 which had the old style. Yes the new style made a big difference in ride quality, softer feel with less wheel hop. For me this was a great change!

Maybe they pulled the new shocks ahead for the RF cars.
Does your April car have the early 2007 (black) or the 2008 (silver) door sill trim? I think they did a running change on this part mid year '07

Thanks guys. Your input has been helpful.

Are the front shock all the same, or have they been updated in 2008 also?
