The beast is home thanks to The Vette Doctors
I just got my car back today from The Vette Doctors after the following Surgery:
Sick Stick Cam
American Racing headers
Milled Heads (12:1 comp)
Harland Sharp Rockers
TI retainers/ springs
Callaway intake
Ported throttle body/intake.
Remote exhaust switch
Pfadt Coil overs (currently set at 10 out of 16)
Pfadt Street bars
Street Alignment
The car is now beyond amazing. It pulls so hard my buddy said it should not be street legal. I’m so impressed and satisfied with this setup that words can not do it justice. I just got her back 4 hours ago and already put on another 100 miles because I could not get out of the car. I do not have base line numbers as VD was changing dynos when my car came in for the work. There new dyno was not fully up and running at the time my car finished either. Since Carmen is such a stand up guy, he brought my car to and outside dyno and paid out of his own pocket to have it run once so I could go home with some numbers. I won't post that dyno sheet as it has this other tuners name on the sheet, but I will share the numbers and conditions.
2008 Z06 (1750 miles)
Temperature 72 degrees and 15% humidity
Peak rear wheel HP: 567.65
Peak rear wheel TQ: 501.28
Highlights: over 450 rwtq from 4000rpm to 6800rpm
The numbers might be a little lowish due to the temperature, low mileage, and only one dyno run. I will bring here back to VD to look everything over and for another dyno run in less than a week.
Comments:
Even thought it has so much more power than stock it has a surprising amount of available traction (even with the run craps). Between the new suspension set up by Pfadt and the smooth hp and Tq the car is hooking up amazing. Today was about 80 degrees and I was able to run her hard to redline in 2nd and 3rd gear without going sideways. The car ideals at 950rpm and has a real mean sound with the switch open.
Thank you to all the guys over at The Vette doctors for building me my dream machine. Also thank you to Aaron and Robin at Pfadt for making your superb customer service and fantastic products.

The video will have to wait a day or 2 guys. I had a small part of it filmed but then the battery died . I didn't even have enough juice to transfer that data onto the DVD. I have not used this DVD cam in a year and now I can't find the charger . I have to find a place to buy and new one tomorrow or the next day.
Update: Put on another 70 miles today and this car is just sick. My wife is not too fond of it with the exhaust opened or when the car is still at a light (because of the minor vibration from the big cam). She is very cool about it and says "if it make you happy, I am happy" and boy does it make me happy. Beside those two small factors it is amazing how tame it is for the amount of power it is putting out. In the next couple of days ill post some videos of the car plus some bonuses of the car taped in comparison to my fathers original 69 motion corvette

Sounds like a great ride. Congratulations.
With the package did you get a custom tune? I would imagine with the cam, headers, higher compression a tune is a must. Do VD just use a "canned" tune to load since they didn't have their dyno operational?
No flaming, just trying to learn about this.

The Vette Doctors have a pre programmed tune for this set up. They have done other cars with the same engine set up and they have this program down pat. They do both dyno and road testing the make sure the car is running the way it was intended to run. In addition I will be bringing the car back in about 4 days for some fine tuning. I will drop the car of for another full day at that point. The doc's will be checking over all the suspension work and doing several runs on their own dyno to make sure everything is satisfactory. The guys at VD are very thuro and professional and they make sure the customer is satisfied with their work. I wouldn't be surprised if they fine tune her even better while managing to squeeze a couple more horse out of her. Once they run my car on their dyno I will post the graph. I hope that helps answer some of your questions.

but like he said they have done a few of these setups now so Im sure they had a pretty good base tune and then did some road tuning to finesse and make sure all is gravy.

From what I understand they develop there own custom cams with Comp cam and they keep those specs under wraps. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong about this. Personaly I do not have a problem not knowing the exact cam spec as I know it is on of the ways VD stay ahead of their competition. All I can tell you is that this thing is BIG
