Default Atomic Orange; Gone for good?

Is it true that for the 2009 model year, Atomic Orange will be cycled out in place for Cyber Gray?

I actually like the cyber grey a lot. If I were to have the choice now, I'd seriously be tempted to get that instead of VY. But I do love my VY!

Opinions are like, well, you know.

I would not use past tense. If you look at the thread genesis you'll see why.

Normally I'm a big fan of the slate/charcoal/med-dark gray color. But they brought one over to the museum during the Cruise-In and I wasn't all that impressed. Granted that we had a lot of cloud cover, so the lighting wasn't very good, but it seemed a little flat to me.

The Gray looks good...on an Accord! BUT, it's still a Corvette.

Cyber Gray is an extra color, it doesn't replace anything. Machine Silver is replaced by Blade Silver. Most people won't be able to see the difference unless they are side by side. Blade Silver is more pure like a German car silver, making Machine Silver appear a little more like Pewter (they have to be parked together to see the difference though).

I had been told by a GM at a large chevrolet dealership in Dallas that atomic orange was out for 2009, but he must not have his colors right.

I think the grey looks pretty good in this pic! For those that have seen the new wheels live... how do they look in person? I saw a Will Cooksey Z this weekend on the highway, but he was moving and I didnt get a good look at the wheels.
