Dot 3 vs Dot 4 brake/clutch fluid ?
I'm having a hard time finding some Dot 4 brake/clutch fluid at any of my local Chevy parts departments...The owners/manual says to use Dot 4 and as I'm going to a track rental soon, I wanted to be prepared for clutch fluid changes...So I guess the question is are you guys using Dot 3 or Dot 4??? - Thanks in advance...

I bought MOTUL 600 RBF BRAKE FLUID from Circle Track Supply, Inc. It was about $100 for a six-pack including shipping.
Have fun at the track but be safe!

Prestone DOT4 synthetic brake fluid at Walmart for about $2.50. They also have the 2 stroke mixing syringe for like $4.00. I'm sure the MOTUL brand is good but the Prestone is readily available.

Ok, here's kinda a side question about DOT4....
I bought some DOT4 for my car and a few days before I was going to flush the system out, I noticed the label and it said "not recommended for use in ABS equipped cars"
I bought SSBC brand. Is that just a "covering our a$$es" line, or is that really on their for a reason?
I never put the fluid in, so if it's nothing to worry about... I'd like to know so I don't have the fluid here as a waste of money.
Also.. didn't want to thread jack.

Lammo question from first time stick owner.........
.......Which ever DOT 4 fluid you pick goes in Brake and Clutch, right?
If so the ATE Super Blue (which I always used in my C5 brakes) is OK??
I would get the Amber as to not draw attention at the dealership

Actually are cars come from the factory with Super DOT-4 clutch fluid. It's a little different than regular DOT-4. To keep things simple, I get the original GM parts number fluids listed in the owners manual, from Gene Cully's web site.
