Default Rear Hatch Handle

I just bought an 08 ZO6. When you close the rear hatch there is know grab handle to pull down my 07 coupe had it. Did they not put it at the factory?

Interesting evolution - manual pull-down handle in '06 and '07, manual but no pull-down handle in '08, automatic closer in '09.

Ah heck, it's not that tough; just leave a door open and pull it down lightly by the metal latch. No need for finger prints. BTW, I mentioned that omission to my sales person when I bought my Z and he handed me a very nice microfiber cloth (that I kept).

To be accurate, the handle delete was a midyear change - some '07's have a handle, others (generally built after Oct. '06) do not.

That's exactly what I do, I never touch the paint when closing the hatch. I also have a window valet and roll down the windows without getting in the Z when I am loading grocery bags in the back so I can close the hatch.

Frank I am not jealous, it was meant in humor. Why would I be jealous when I own a 07 Z? In fact one of my best buddies owns a 06 and it has twice the problems mine has, silly little warrenty problems, like engine replacement, stuff like that.. "Grateful" is more of a discription of how I feel. The are all great years, if I was to be jealous of anything, it would be he got his first.
