Help needed to figure crank hp
Carmen and Dennis at the VetteDrs just finished my Z-06 with the installation of ported, polished and milled heads....Originally, my car dynoed at 445rwhp when stock. The latest figure is 610.6rwhp with all of the good doctors' surgeries.
If I divide the stock rwhp figure, 445rwhp by the GM certified 505hp figure, I get a drivetrain loss of .8811 or @11.89%.
My question: can I assume, all things being equal, that I can use this loss ratio figure on the new rear wheel hp in order to compute the new crank hp....610.6rwhp x 1.1189= 683.2 crank hp....
Does drivetrain loss increase with horsepower? What other factors beside air temp, humidity, air fuel ratio would factor in to give as close an approximation to the true crank hp as possible....Thanks for your help...

Burning Brakes
13% drivetrain loss is about right.
With 610rwhp you would do the following.
610/.87=701fwhp (rounded)
Nice #'s BTW
Enjoy
