Default stock ZR1 vs stock c6/zo6 air filter

Has anyone upgraded to the ZR1 stock a/f yet? As you can see donaldson used larger powercore cells for the ZR1 to breathe vs the stock C6/Zo6 powercore.

You would have to have the whole assembly from a ZR1 to do this wouldn't you?The ZR1 element looks bigger? How much is that filter?Have you had a chance to see if there is a performance increase yet. I think the stock AIS is much better than the aftermarket stuff in build quality. It .would be nice to see dyno #'s

the element fits snug but bolts right in. The filter has a different seal as you can see. its a foam type seal instead of the rubber.

So, the ZR1 filter fits in the Z06 filter housing, it's just a snug fit? Are you using it now?

Gene Culley said a customer tried it and it didn't seal good.

Let us know if you have better luck.

yea that was me lol it fits but the seal has been revised compared to the original zr1 filter from donaldson. instead of the seal being seated inside the intake duct, the zr1 filter seals on the very edge of the intake. i looked it over as it did seal, but im going to stick with the stock filter just to play it safe.
