Default OEM C6 Z06 Wheels - Can a 345 fit on the rear

Just wondering - Can a 345 fit on the OEM C6 Z06 rear wheels? If so, would the tire size be a 345/35/19?

Have people done this or is it a bad idea?

As always, thanks for the help.

IMO it depends on the tires. Some brands look just like stock at 345, other brands look kinda funny at the sidewall on the stock wheel. I would look for pictures of the exact tire mounted (if you care about such things).

The Nittos and Michelin PS2's run fine on the stock 19x12 wheel.

On Michelin's web site it lists the 12" wide wheel being the optimum width wheel for their 345/30/19 PS2s.

I don't have first hand experience with this, but don't you have to run 295s up front to avoid the engine drag control message at high speeds?

Why do you care about the message? It's not a "warning" at all. It's just a driver notification that's saying "what you're feeling right now is me and not something wrong.". As long as you know what it is, you can safely ignore it. I have 345's on mine (with stock size fronts) and the only time I get the message is when decelerating from high rpm in lower gears. It's not an issue. Really.

You do want to keep close to the stock ratio front to rear. 1/2 inch or 1 inch I can't remember right now. But I have 345/30 mich ps2's rear and 285/35 mich ps2's front which keep it almost exactly as the stock ratio. No lights or abs,t/c, or a/h problems for 3000 mls now.

Yes, indeed, you have the right idea! Moreover, a 345mm tire size is an ideal tire width size for a 12 inch wide wheel width. And, within the high performance tire industry, we are all grateful to finally see a "30 Series" (i.e., 345/30-19) tire released in the Michelin PS2 lineup. This taller sidewall aspect ("30 Series") allows for better grip (i.e., less loss of traction at linear launch) over the much shallower "25 Series" tire sizes. Please feel free to PM me for further insight. Lastly, you may also perform an advanced search under my avatar name to research more information regarding proper tire and wheel fitment parameters. Best of Luck to You!

The Nitto NT05 in 275/35-18 and 335/30-19 are also perfect.

295's in front and 345's in back is the only way to go.
