Loud Whining Noise - Trans or Diff ?
I now get a very loud whining noise from my C6 Z06. The noise comes through the shifter area of the console. Normally I would say it was a transmission problem since the noise is heard from the console but since the trans and diff are mated together I cannot be sure. The whine is not noticable in 1st or 2nd gear but gets worse in 3rd through 5th. The whine is constant with road speed regardless of the gear. Any thoughts on which one it might be?
