Default Omega 29023 Jack

Received new jack today. The handle does not store upright,it comes down to a 45 deg angle. Is this normal for all of them? It does not seem right to me. Also I had bought the adaptor for the hole in the frame at Mid America Motorworks pART #100-004 and it does not fit into jack. I will have to bring it to a machine shop to shave it down. Is this my best approach? Thanks guys!!

The Omega 29023 has a 1" pin hole. Many other jacks use a larger pin. The "other" dimension escapes me at the moment. I have this jack. The handle on mine does not store vertically either. My fix was to drill either side of the frame and put a couple of quick release pins thru the frame which hold the handle upright when not in use.

mine stores verticlly.

But my jack doesnt work the greatest.

I've had the piston unit replaced after it failed once, and it still isn't great.

It's only advantage is the long reach. It's one heavy sumbitch (125lbs)and I think it takes way too much effort on the handle to lift the car. A buddy has the same jack and his is already showing signs of failing (leaks) at less than 1 year old. Having had it for about a year now I don't think I'd recommend it. It's "OK" but I'm sure there are better choices out there albeit at greater expense.

My handle breaks over center just enough to stay upright.
