i paid 44,750 for my 08 2lz and 30 k miles. i think its a great deal!
it seems even when i thought i reached the bottom of the market and the best deal there are more great deals to be had. many of the cars i saw 2 months ago when i started looking on cars.com and autotrader.com are still listed! i think the pices have come down though out of desparation, these cars just arent moving right now.
the 2007 model i almost bought in denver just lowered from 52,000 to 50,000 still way too high for an 07 with 10k miles on it. i called for fun and they were pretty willing to do just about anything to get rid of that car. i know they are selling it for pretty much what they paid for it and they took it in on trade and took it in for way too much money. they let a customer play hard ball with them on a new caddy. they dropped their pants on the trade in and cant get rid of it!
i have seen several dealers doing the same thing but i think people are starting to wise up on the resale value of the vettes because there are more and more 08 models i have seen available for 44-45 k all with high miles however.
the deal you speak of seems really good IMO with the miles that low.

don't knock it till you see it in person. Every car is different. I won't take a penny less than $50k for my 07Z with 5k miles. I'd spend the same or more for a mint 07 than an 08 with more miles. pick your flavor!

Based on what you state this seems like a fantastic deal. If the car is as you describe I'd run to that dealer and buy it.
I'd ask for a GMVIS though.
Good luck.

Great buy. The GM Cert adds 1yr to the existing warranty and usually costs the dealer $400-500.
Check the tires, the underside of the door sills for lift/curb damage, and then just a good thorough inspection.

A local dealer will have to plug in a Tech II device down load data and in my case they sent some data back to GM to get the no **** official verification that the values in the ECM matched what GM has. My dealer didn't charge me, but told me it's about an hours labor.
There's a detailed thread on the CF that describes the technical process to verify the OEM ECM data has not been messed with to include the ability to see if a NEW stock OEM tune was added at a later date to cover up a tune.
You can always buy a new ECM but they are like $300.

This gets run around the mill.. Everybody knows about or has seen a better price than what is quoted. The bottom line is if you like the car, buy it.... There will always be cheaper and more expensive. Have it checked out and then decide if you will be happy with it. Don't worry about the price as long as it is not way out of line. The smile on your face over the next few years is worth the extra 1k or 2k you may have spent.... Mike

I paid 58k for a 08 3lz chrome wheels, brand new 20 miles on it with free shipping to my house from a dealer a month ago... I would check the condition of the car you never know
