Need help on Carbotech Bobcat 1521 Front-Rear single pad install.
A Forum search did not provide any previous installation help, so I would appreciate your input on those who have installed them on their Z.
Did you need to unbolt the calipers to insert the single pads on both the front and rears?
Thanks,

Put them on last summer and the answer is "Yes you do. Just take the caliper off and put them in. Be careful with the spring clips on top of the pad. Both for front and rear, no other way.

From what I've read on this thread below (read second paragraph), started by Carbotech, it leads you to believe that you don't have to remove the calipers.

I ordered them yesterday and thought I'd look in my WSM on the normal procedure for replacing the padlets and realized that the top of the front calipers have two bridges and the rear has one. This caused me to wonder how could the single pads slide into the caliper with the bridges in the way?
Can Adam or Danny pipe in please?

The problem comes when trying to remove the individual bolts/pins for the pads. Many of them are already frozen/seized. Folks have found it is much faster to pull the calipers and change them and not have to mess with the individual pins.

That's odd.

Sorry if your confused. You do have to loosen the caliper bolts but not the pins. Best bet is to just take the caliper off Or try to lift it when loose. It does drop right in when the caliper is off. If you have any questions you can contact Danny or i at adam@ctbrakes.com or danny@ctbrakes.com

We set out to redesign the new One Piece all on our own. We wanted to make sure it was perfect and even more user friendly. This new design will drop right into the caliper and you don't have to take out the caliper pins or spring clips. The spring clips are critical in keeping the brake pad square to the rotor surface and ensuring that the pads slide smoothly along the pins. The spring clips also assist in reducing the noise inside the caliper.

But thanks for clarifying things for us and besides, the extra time is not a big deal because it gives you a chance to check out other brake components while your in there.

I did place an order Tuesday and would imagine the bedding in process will accompany the BC-1521's.
Years ago I purchased the BBK from Brembo for my Testarossa and they recommended that you drive on the freeway in light traffic between 55-65 MPH, apply moderate braking for 2-3 seconds. Let them cool a minute or two, repeat that process roughly 30 times and the pads and rotors should be bed-in.
Maybe this is somewhat the procedure for just bedding in the new pads to cleaned existing rotors. I have 12K miles on the stock rotors now that are in very good condition and expect the pads to be here hopefully tomorrow.
Am I in the ballpark? PM me if that's best.
Thanks, Joe

I stalled the one piece pads, you have to remove the caliper because the top has 2 bridges that go across it and you cannot insert the one piece pad from the top.
Its a pretty easy job though, just those stupid rattle clips can be a PITA.

I planned on doing a install DIY on both the front and backs but don't worry Adam, I'll try not to reveal any of your secrets stuff...
