I don't use Cleartastic, but I polish over the 3M clear film all the time.

I doubt it would stick too well over a wax. Probably best to leave it on.

The instructions for Cleartastic (non adhesive) states wax before you apply.
3m you have to remove the wax. Cleartastic (non adhesive) promotes it.
Remove the Cleartastic, wax the car.
While the pieces are off the car, its a good time to clean the pieces too.
You can use a diluted simple green, then use dawn soap, rinse with plenty of water.
This also gets rid of any dirt that builds up on the edges.
Keeps your Cleartastic practically invisible or a long time...

Hope that helps..
Ed

z06 cleartastic has a glue, IIRC I had to dewax before installing, but to the original posters question, I've waxed over mine with no problems, but I wouldn't hit it with the buffer!

Correct, Cleartastic Plus for the Z06 has the mild adhesive..
