Default Tubi exhaust for the Z06 and ZR1 ??????

What if Tubi made and exhaust for the Corvette and especially the Z06 and ZR1. Wouldn't that be interesting?

Before I jumped ship from my Ferrari to a Z06 I had a Testarossa. I bought it with a Borla exhaust and those 12 cylinders sounded pretty dam good. But later I installed Tubi's ($3K ) and the sound was like night and day different from the Borla's. It screamed vs yelled.

I am not bashing Borla at all, they make a great system but Tubi makes an incredible exhaust for those Italian 5-valve engines and I think it would be cool if they would supply them for the Corvette.

What to you think?

I'm curious to hear the sound as well... I bet it would sound sweet!

I've been in a pretty nasty 550 with Tubi + other goodies. LOVED IT!

I believe there is a post on here already with an Italian company that makes an exhaust system for the Z06, but it comes with the Italian Exhaust price tag of over 5k+ for a catback.

If you want loud, get a big cam with LT headers with no cats... I can guarantee you won't even hear the Italian engine next to you.

I prefer the sound of an American V8 motor with a cam over some Italian Crouch Rocket sounding motor any day.

I think your $3K Tubi system looks crooked and sounds wimpy.

Is "tubi" a brand name or is there a difference between a tubi and an exhaust from someone like LG?

Mike
TubiStyle is a brand originating from Italy but operates a facility in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area I believe. http://www.tubistylena.com/s/contact/

I am going to call them tomorrow and ask "if" they have or will consider building an exhaust system for the C6 Corvette, Z06 and ZR1.

Joe, you just installed your B&B Fisions. Ready for a change already?

And you need to post a response on this forum so everyone knows you really are alive in the PNW.

No, I love my Fusions! It was just an interesting thought if Tubi would make an exhaust for and American car.

Had a Tubi system on my C5. Sounded sweet! Different from all of the other stuff out there. More refined, not so in your face loud. JMO.

Cheers

Tubi does make a C6 Z06 system, it has been available for a few years but is pretty rare in the US. It's a fully polished system with oval mufflers mounted vertically. Single outlet at the bottom of each muffler Y's into straight-cut quad tips that appear about the same diameter as stock. Don't know how they sound. Tubistyle USA had them listed a few years ago. Scuderia Systems in the UK shows them currently.

Your right.

I googled it and found this site: http://www.scuderiasystems.com/prod-main.html

You have to put in an inquiry (British Co.) so I did and will post more info on cost and shipping when they respond.

Default Thanks for your enquiry.........

OK, here's the response to my inquiry.

Thanks for your enquiry.

The Tubi Style Sport Exhaust delivers around 12hp - requires no invasive work and is cat-back. (note that on N/A engines fitting a cat-back exhaust is unlikely to yield any substantial power gains on newer Corvettes thanks to improve OE exhaust efficiency)

The real issue is that it delivers a SENSATIONAL, deep throbby sound which is classic V8 at low rpm but turns into a roaring scream at high rpm.
It is made of stainless steel and is guaranteed for the life of the car. The reduced size lightly baffled mufflers are less restrictive than stock and as such reduce back pressure and deepen the sound of the Corvettes V8 - making it sound like a real muscle car. In addition the end pipes look fabulous - 4 X 80 mm mirror-finished chrome end tips to complete the look of the machine.
Bear in mind, there is significant flexibility with the construction of this exhaust - if you ask us, we can build you a very loud version of the Tubi exhaust where the two rear silencers are lightly baffled. Alternatively, if you want something which is just a little louder than standard then we can build you a heavily baffled exhaust as well.
Most of the time our customers order the loud version and it is quite a lot louder than standard but it is not too much. It just sounds lovely - like a Corvette should!

The cost of the system is $2300 USD
Shipping to the USA ranges between $300 - $490 USD depending upon where you are.

As this is a an export enquiry, this system is cheaper for you than it is for any customer in Europe or the USA as you don't pay an British VAT (sales tax) which is normally charged at 17.5%. In addition, we can under-declare the value of the good at US customs as well by sending the system with an invoice with a lower value so you pay minimal import duties.

Each Tubi is hand made in Modena, Italy. Tubi themselves are suppliers to the Ferrari F1 team and do many different OE applications for some of the worlds most prestigious sport car makers including Ferrari, BMW, Lamborghini and Porsche Each system carries a lifetime warranty and has been thoroughly developed, tested and made by the only aftermarket exhaust supplier in the world that specialises in the supercars and is hand-in-hand development partner with Ferrari themselves.
I hope this information helps - any queries and do please call me on +44 1784 434395 we can take you through it.

Ordering is easy. We normally require:
- Shipping Address
- Contact Phone Numbers
- Any special invoice instructions.

We try NOT to accept credit card if we can help as we've been scammed and chargedback by fraudsters previously, but we are flexible. Normally we work with www.utruepay.com who insure and guarantee your wire transfer.

It's a rather exotic item here in the UK (because the car is left hand drive only it is imported in small numbers and so we only sell a small amount). However Tubi sell a LOT of these exhausts in conventional left hand drive markets. As such delivery is around 2-3 weeks.

Do give me a call if you have any queries or would like to order on +44 1784 43 43 95.

Kind Regards
