I know DRs should be best for straight line, but what brand tires have you found to be the best overall for performance in dry weather?
Nitto NT05s NT555IIs?
Just curious.

I'm sorry but I like to ask a dumb question. Are Nitto a good tire? I'm new to the Corvette picture and I found some Nitto NT 555 Extreme Performance for a good price. Just wondering if these Nitto NT 555 are on the same level as NT55IIs.

For the street you're pretty much stuck with the stock tires.
A lot guys are running Toyo R888's but they do not make them in the ZR1 sizes. Michelin has dis continued its Pilot Sport Cup and the Pirelli Corsa does not come in the proper size as well.

Rosso's are not bad. They were on my Lamborghini when I first bought it. They are more of an all around tire than a maximum dry performance tire.
I switched to PS2's which gave me a lot more grip. I also have a big 12 back there that I don't want rotating around at all so I needed all the grip I could get.

Melting Slicks
If you want something that can actually go around a corner (unlike the MT) the PS2 is the best option I've found for traction.
If I had 20s on the rear I'd consider the ZR1's PS2-ZP, but that combination of wheel/tire (just the pair) I'm sure would be at around 20 lbs heavier than a stock non-chrome 19x12 with a non-runflat 345 PS2.
Cheers, Paul.

I'm sitting on a 19/20 set up and I was able to find the nitto in that size for the current size on my car. Since I have a Vert I'm not that type of person to put my car on the track or 1/4 track. I'm too scared of the possibility of rolling the car so I push it hard to the speed limit and then break it down.
I guess I should of ask for my type of driving do you think Nitto are good? Let me mention my car is bone stock.. Just a lot of dress up parts.

Two Akrapovic Titanium EVO systems in stock ready to ship
In stock ready to ship. These are the full Titanium EVO systems which bolt right up to the stock exhaust manifold/cat pipes. We were able to modify our Kooks headers to make this work and saved 46lbs over stock: ORDER
