Default Looking for a good quality floor jack...suggestions??

I currently have a Sears Craftsman low profile jack which lifts the cars with an approx 3 foot rod. (gotta kneel on the ground and sweat at lifting it.) It works fine, but I want a more high quality/sturdy/long rod/machanic-style LOW PROFILE floor jack in addition. I found this one at Amazon. It's uper low profile and lifts up to 20 inches. You guys knows much about this one? Any other ones y'all can suggest with similar specs and similar price?? Maybe ligher than this one too??

TIA!!

Harbor Freight (harborfreight.com)has one for $59.95. The same jack sells for $99.95 at Northern Tool. Aside from hand tools, Craftsman stuff is junk. I've got one of their jacks also and it's been very lightly used and leaks like a sieve. Parts to fix are more than a new jack.....

Mine is the same thing but all silver. I got mine at Costco. I think it was about $75. The foam sleeve is a real paint saver! I also make use of hockey pucks. You can get 'em cheap at Play It Again Sports.

I recently got a 4-post with a rolling jack but I still make regular use of the floor jack.

At the bottom of the linked page, they list the Torin 3 ton low profile jack with two three ton jack stands (Model T83318) for 120 bucks. I bought two of them (paid the same price at Walmart) and they work great. With 2 jacks, you can lift the whole front or back at the same time.

I bet I've had the car up on the jacks at least 50 times in the driveway with no problems.

Default Floor JacK

I purchased the DK13HLQ Floor Jack with the 3000N-GSI Flat Top Stands not shown but he will get them for you along with the GS1 Rubber Cushion and the AC Hydraulic Lifting Beam shipping was free.

I've got two of the Harbor Freight jacks. $59.95 you can't beat the price.

I found a sweet floor jack from Northern Tool and Equipment. I was planning on spending 199.99, but when I got there it was actually on sale for 139.99!!

I haven't used it much yet, but I can say it looks super high quality (especially for the price) and it's light weight considering it's size. It fits with no problem (with a hockey puck) under my 1" lowered Z.

Check it out:

I also just took the plunge and bought some Race Ramps as well. Now I'll be ready for the rest of the track season

Default Floor jack

I bought my jack from Harbor Freight after fighting to get other jacks under low setting cars for years and am very proud of my purchase. This is not your lightweight racing floorjack, but is a heavy strong (should be long lasting) jack. I use it in my shop ~~ it is not a pick-it-up & take it with you jack. Here is a link for HarborFreight. Harbor Freight stores with this jack in stock will probably honor sale price to save freight charges.

Yup, the low profile jack 3,000 lb capability is now only $59.95. They used to be about $120. It's a great lightweight jack.

Here's a great review of the Omega 29023(same as the ATD 7325) and the AC DK13HLQ. The AC is the high end, the Omega/ATD are very similar to the AC in size but lower build quality/cost.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...c-dk13hlq.html Not to be a tool snob but honestly I haven't seen anything at Harbor Tools I would describe as quality.........

Best floor jack on the market IMHO...pricey but by far the best....and not Chinese. This jack slides right up under the front of the Z with no ramps/blocks having to be used for clearance.

That's literally the scariest setup I've ever seen!

Please be safe and get yourself some flat top jack stands.
