It will not keep the car from dieing at a stop and that sounds more of a tuning issue. It helps the odd idle and off idle tip in issues associated with the transition.
This is not really a power maker and not advertised as such, so no dyno data. It did help a little bit in the mid range on some cars in the 2-4 RWT area, but mainly an idle and drive-ability product.
It is designed to work with a stock TB, the VMax CNC TB or most 90-92mm billet TB's. We have seen it not work with some hand ported TB's as they tend to open the back side of the TB up too much.
We chose aluminum due to the ease of manufacturer and that the polymer intake with actually insulate the aluminum ring as it does not touch any hot hard engine parts.
