Great thread!

Also good to remember that wheel/tire weight is very important; every 1lb taken off of a wheel (rotational mass) is like losing 6lbs off the car itself.

Added more weights.

Wheels/seats/tires/batteries/total car weight of Carbon

Still could use more weights.

I would like to know the weight of the stock lug nuts compared to the titanium lug nuts. I'm going to need lug nuts when I get home. My car still has a couple locking lug nuts.... and I wasn't given the lug nut key when I bought the car.

If anyone would like a listing of what the stock bolt sets weigh and how much you would save by converting to titanium, PM me.

Aftermarket seat weight list update with most common aftermarket seat upgrades.

Surprised at some of the results.

Caravaggio Leather Race Seats are my big surprise....looking like an even better upgrade. And the heavier Caravaggio Daytona seats are very light compared to the other alternatives which have 1/2 the comfort options as the Daytonas.

Updated List.

List comes in handy already. Just by paying attention to what you buy in parts you can save a TON in rotating mass just in wear items alone!! For example:

Time to replace rotors: Colemans or ATX 2 piece rotors front and rear -24lbs

Time for Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport R's or Conti Sports -32lbs.

Time for a new clutch: RPS Street Twin Lite w/alum fly or LG Triple Carbon -38lbs

Just by paying attention to weights: You just lost 94 LBS of Rotating mass!! Getting a 06 Z06 below 3000lbs isn't rocket science. 3130-94= 3036lbs Add racing seats... DONE.

combining this with the post a few up this results in a performance equivalent of 564 pound reduction in weight ????

my old head has a hard time with that........

I don't remember exact numbers but I know the Spiders are heavier...I thought 1/2 lb front each and 1.25 lbs each rear...or close to that.
