Stock hood weight...depends on how you weigh it, as in, does it include the hood liner and (in the case of the '06) the under hood light.

The weight I got for my stock '06 hood (stripped of liner and light) was a little more than 23.1 but still under 24 lbs.

Cheers, Paul.

You lose the oil cooler so overall it lighter with the dewitts!

I'd prefer with liner and light since thats how they are off the showroom floor. Wouldn't think liner and light would weight more than a lb so I'll round it to 24lbs.

Hi Blaine,

Where did you get the wheel weights for the HRE R40's?

Just wondering why the weight difference you have listed for the front and rear even though the diameter and widths listed are the same? Different offsets maybe? I'm very interested in possibly purchasing these wheels, and just wanted to confirm your source and accuracy?

Thanks

Vendor posted the weights of these yesterday. I made a typo on the front wheels they are 18X9.5. Corrections made. And the elusive weight of the Titanium Lug nuts are added.

Added more wheel weights.

No one has anymore weights? No ones bought a hood? Rotors? Brake kit? Tires? a supercharger? Turbos?

Still need rear ZR1 spoiler weight/rear exhaust panel/OEM Halo/roof/about all supercharger/turbo kits/

Funny how the Corvette became a Z06 because of the 50+ lighter weight than a base Corvette, but so few cares about the weight.

Almost 90% of every forum post on this site has at least one question regarding weight...

"How much does that seat/tire/wheel/exhaust/brake rotor/hood weigh compared to X?"

Spyders are 1.3 lbs heavier (front) and 1.6 lbs heavier (rear) than the original Z06 wheels. FWIW, the Grand Sport wheels are 1.5 lbs heavier (front) and 0.9 lbs heavier (rear) than the original Z06 wheels. Center caps not included.

Having weighed several original ('06 and '07 MY take-offs) Z06 rims, weight does fluctuate quite a bit.

The Lower rear fascia(rear exhaust panel) on the Z06 weighs 3.086 lbs per GM. What is weird is that GM says the C6 lower rear panel weighs 4.762 lbs. I thought the C6 and the Z06 used the same panel.

2010 Grand Sport style chrome

Wheel Weights

Front 18x9.5 = 26.5lbs (+5lbs each)
Rear 19x12 = 29.5lb (+3.5lbs each)

+17lbs over OEM for a set

*reproduction GM spec may be different +/- lb

Hard to beat the weight of the OEM wheel and tire combination. The OEM wheels and tires are VERY light and there are only a few aftermarket options that save weight compared to them.

I installed the ATI 10% underdrive pulley today. I had a chance to weigh them both on a very accurate shipping scale back to back. The weight you list for the stock pulley is 10lbs. My scale read 9lbs 12.6oz. The ATI pulley including the hardware(2pc pulley) weighed 8lbs 6.4oz. So a net savings of 1lb 6.2 oz in rotaing weight in addition to being 10% underdriven.
