Want to install aftermarket cam but my state has smog inspection. Will anything work for me. Thanks

You just have to get a bit creative. I used cats on an LS1 set-up before with a 236/236 cam and ran about a 50% mix of alcohol and leaned the idle out/raised the idle speed and was able to sneak it through the sniffer! Should be able to run a bigger cam than this with an LS7.

The biggest cam that I've heard of passing Ca smog was in a 442 LS7 stroker. The specs were 230/239 on a 112 LSA. With that said their should be quite few options for you when it comes to picking a cam that will smog.

i would be interested in this as well. It's really the overlap more so than lift/duration. It sounds like anything 5 or under should work.
