Default 10.66@132.86mph at Capitol today Bolt on C6Z

I was able to get a new best ET and MPH atleast but not what I was looking for.
Very first run the car spun hard so it was a wasted run. The track came and went all day and lots of break downs. You cant drift your car through the lanes which makes keeping the initial launch engine coolant/oil temp consistant. I really feel if I had the traction I had on the last pass all day the 10.5x would've came for sure. But I fell short as we all know I'm best at.

Runs went as follows.
60ft-1.646
330ft-4.583
1/8mi-6.961
1/8mph-105.15-new best
1000ft-8.984
1/4mi-10.695
1/4mph-133.41mph-new best

next run
60ft-1.627-car hopped/spun
330ft-4.532
1/8mi-6.916
1/8mph-104.68mph
1000ft-8.944
1/4mi-10.661
1/4mph-132.86mph

last run
60ft-1.713-car bogged so bad it was down to 1000rpms after 4000rpm launch!
330ft-4.671
1/8mi-7.049
1/8mph-104.90
1000ft-9.073
1/4mi-10.786
1/4mph-133.07mph

In car videos of the runs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRArwxALWkI

Outside the car video-if you want to get to yours truely skip to about 55seconds in and 2:00minutes in.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZDCalCB0KI

So basically a huge let down cause the car was there, the shifting was there. Just needed the track and 60ft to come together which is always the tough part I guess. This really sucks after leaving out of a 6.880 at 104mph last week at cecil. We had great weather and I put 275/40/17's Mickey Thompson Drag radials (thanks to Billy B). The car definitely likes the slightly shorter tire versus the Hoosier 315/35/17 I was running.

Mods:ARH 1 7/8 headers, Off road xpipe, Stainless works catback, Fast 102, Vararam, 160stat, Jeremy Formatto Tune, Monster Stage 3 clutch. And some help from some of the AMR guys (Gary2004Z06, RobZ oh and tirecraft did something not sure what yet)

Damn fart, this car is a mule ......
I have done 10.630 with stock intake, stock clutch, stock catback, stock front wheels no weight reduction or 2pc front rotors like yours ...
And a 30 mp/h heads winds.

I have made only two passes this years for many reasons ( mainly health problems) and I have clocked 105.5 mp/h on the 1/8 and 133.1 mp/h on a 30 degre C days. Oh of courses with the stock ls7 clutch ... Now it is a different story ....

Fartpipe, please stay tune next year I will be your most horrible nightmare my friends I have updated the car to stay competitive

Sebast the newbie
P.S. Anyway good try waxer

LMFAO!!!!!!! Well there you my little ray of sunshine from Canada!!!!!!! I've been looking all over for you!!!!

Thank you for your words of encouragement! I hope that your year of learning from me will help you next year. I look forward to putting that little #2 spot out of your reach like Gary2004Z06 did with #1spot for both of us.
Good luck and may you be happy with #3 for a long time

Very NICE ets and mph for your bolt on mods.
Now slap on some 4.10 gears and you will run low 10s!

Yeah for sure, but do me a favor, check the engine compression, maybe you running just with 7 pistons, who knows.... That explain the high ET and low trap speed with all those bolt-ons.
Anyway don't get discouragment, you will be in 2nd rank of the list, but just for 2010 . No for so long.

Remember, my 10.66 by 1 november 2008, with just cold air, headers and tune. Sorry, just to shake up you're memory ...

Good job number three.

P.S Gary2004 place are not out of reach for me in 2011. Sorry for you

Thanks for the tip Sebast. I'll check that.... would be crazy for me to take the #2 spot away from you with only 7cylinders

Sebast I have a friendly offer for you. How about you check out in the C5performance section that we're having a rental at MIR on December 17th with a nicely prepped track. The entry fee for that day is $165.00. Arun from canada is coming down. I will offer to PAY your way in if you come down to race my 7cylinder car versus yours one month from now if your car with less mods or more? can be ready?

That way we can race at the same track same day and hell i'll loan you my front runners if you want for a couple passes. All in the name of fun and competition. That way when you see your name in lights in the #3 spot you will feel all better about the same track same day, and any mod I can help you with

DEAL?

Ah ah ah lolllllll

It is impossible for me this year bruce. But here is the game:
* Do the second place this year
* I will do the first place when the track reopened up here in canada in april or may
* I will accept you're offer for an USA vs Canada next year with you and all CF friends that would be famous , do you know number tree ?

*P.S. My car have alot more bolt-on now vs the time I have made my 10.63 run with a DA of only around 0 and a headswinds of 30 mp/h

So I love the kinds of assurance you have into you're 7 cyl. 373ci engine.

Guys who reads thoses post, I would like to tell that I'm very sorry to trash talk like that, this is WHAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM FARTPIPE.

Have a good day waxer

Sebast

Well that just pissed in my cheerios And I really like my cereal in the mornings! Can we persuade you to come down here in the spring so you dont have to run on those downhill tracks and we can play on level tracks? I would like to visit canada sometime though. Can we all smoke up a few reafers legally there?

You are doing great at the trash talking and we love it. Keep it coming... Oh and good to hear the local male strip club tips have increased so you can put more money into modding the car for that #3 or will it be #4 spot?

Man I see times like that and it really makes me wish I didn't live in Utah where the DA is normally around 6000-7000' when RMR is open.

Absolutely agree 100% I am very fortunate to have great air and close to sea level tracks near me. The car is probably completely different at this level. Great ET's and the car makes great power compared to the high elevations. Take a east coast vacation in the winter Come out to one of our track rentals!

Believe me I would love to. When I first moved from SoCal to Utah I was amazed at the difference I felt when driving. The car seemed so much slower lol.

So how are you liking that monster stage 3 clutch? Any glazing/softness and/or pedal shenanigans to report?
