Default front end alignment problem

I have 20,000 miles on my 07' ZO6 - time for tires - rear cooked and front with tread outboard and down to thread inside.

I will have alignment checked with new tires (PS2s) But am interested in the wear pattern on fronts. Anyone else have a similiar experience?

thoughts on what to look at when alignement time?

Bill

What you are seeing is normal for the stock alignment. you might want to reduce the negative camber a bit.

Exactly; the factory alignment is somewhat aggressive for street driving.

I set mine at zero camber but still with time and sagging suspension it goes negative and still wears the insides. As far as handling, just fine with no issues for the street.

If you got 20,000 miles from your original tires, leave the alignment alone. It's perfect!

OK, I see the PFADT recomendations above, but they didn't say what the stock setting's are. I have an 08 ZO6. Back tires gone at around 12K, replaced with GY OEM's assuming I would get 25 to 30K from fronts and then buy a set of 4PS2's. At 17K, I am into the cords in the inside 1.5" on both OEM front tires, about 4/32" on outside. Just ordered PS2 ZP's for the front, will replace the back when they go down. I do not track car, looking for no handling prolems and resonable life. (got 30K on C5 fronts with factory alignment).
Is Performance Street (in PFADT above) what I am looking for, or is there another recomendation. How far is that from GM recomendations, and will I have trouble getting a dealer to deviate from GM recomendations? Doug?????

Here's the factory spec chart. Z06 is the FE4 line:

Just FYI, the regular C6 owners who want tire life over max handling are taking the Camber down to -.1 to -.2 and getting better front tire life. Just sayin'. Good luck.

Thank you, will talk to Dealer Monday.

Update: Dealer said no problem, set front to -.4 (As found was -1.3 and -0.9) Camber as a compromise. As always, this forum is a very useful source of information for those of us that just enjoy the cars, and not as much into the mechical knowlege as others are. I thank you.

BTW, what has happened to tire prices? I paid $858.65 for 2 P325/30R19 EMT's, out the door (Sales tax, core, ect inc) GY OEM's in March. Current price is $1029.38 out the door, 20% increase in 9 months. Wow, and the Michelin's are even more.
