Halltech exclusive emailTUNEŽ X3 Tuning is World Class custom tuning done without leaving home. Remote tuning through Jim Hall's emailTUNEŽ is the easiest and best way to increase performance without going to the dyno. All tuning files have been street, dyno, and track tested for best results. emailTUNEŽ is customer based tuning using the SCT X3 Handheld Tuner, but is delivered by email, and is easily reversible in 6 minutes back to stock, for that Madonna (like a virgin) ECM. $489.00 covers the cost of the X3 Handheld and emailTUNEŽ PowerTune. For instance, if you have the Halltech Killer Bee II only, tuning is not required to run this intake, but we can bring more of the beast out with Power emailTUNEŽ.
How does it work? You purchase the SCT X3 Handheld Programmer, and use it to download your stock ECM file to the X3. You then transfer it to your laptop or desktop and email it to Halltech. We make the calibration tuning changes and email back the new file, which you upload to your ECM using the SCT X3 Handheld. That's it! You car is tuned!

Jim, do you have the customer do any logging of fuel trims for fine tweaking after installing your Email tune?

I ask this cause with the Diablo Predator, their canned tune was not close to spot on for my former LS2 GTO, it required tweaking the fuel slope to avoid ping/knock in area's.

That is totally unnecessary with this intake since the MAF read area scaling is identical to stock.

We can tweak the LTFs if they are not perfect, but that is totally unnecessary with our CF102 or FG102 intake systems.

The Halltech Power Tune will bring out the best overall power for the street or track depending on how you want the programming to be done. We work with you on this, and nothing is canned.

Can you do anything more with this than cold air intakes and basic bolt ons? Would there be any dangers to tuning cams with this?

I have tuned approximately 15 Katech Cam platforms for some of their overseas customers, and others that wanted to make some changes. I have the Katech tune dialed in perfectly with our Super Bee Induction, but not with other intakes.

If you are tuning other than Katech's Torquer cam, and other than our intake, I would suggest hooking up with a local tuner on the dyno. The dyno is not the key, but rather the O2 sensor and logging software to monitor knock, air fuel ratios, etc.

Jim; I have a KBII, Kooks headers & x-pipe, and an e-mail tune from you that I got several years ago. The car is used mostly as a track day car. Would there be any real benefit in updating the existing tune?

Yes, especially if the tune you have now was for the 1st Generation KB. The KB II is 27% less restrictive than the KB 1.
