No key fobs detected
I have a 2006 Z06. I haven't driven it in about a month, and usually I start it up from time to time to warm it up and keep everything flowing during the winter. Today I went out to start it and the dash said "no key fobs detected" so I went inside and grabbed my other key fob and the same thing came up. I tried the unlock button and the lock button as well as the trunk button and nothing works on both key fobs. The lights in the car do come on, so I'm thinking it can't be the battery. If the battery is low will the key fob not work? I also doubt both key fob batteries are dead... and suggestions?

It's probably the battery...
...of the FOB
Same thing happened to my 06' a couple of weeks ago except my FOB 2 worked.
Since both of yours didn't work I would put a charger on your battery and see if that helps
BTW: when I replaced the battery it didn't recognize the FOB either...I will have to initilize it according to the owner's manual.
May try to initialze your FOB...you would think the FOB battery would be getting old, but my 2003 Avalanche works fine.
Good luck...post your results please

Change the FOB battery. Mine was doing that for a few weeks back. I put a new battery in the FOB and it was back to normal. The batteries must last 5 years since I have an 06 as well. You can stick the key in the glove box slot with the key as is to see if it will start.

My 06 Z06 did the same thing with both fobs about a month ago. Changed both fob batteries and that was the fix. The Owner's Manual says they should be changed every 3 years but usually last longer. Good idea to change them before they die. Mine were the original batteries. Is you car battery on a battery tender? I keep mine on a C-Tek 3300 when it sits, which is often with this lousy winter.
