Yeah, I know...

I crashed on the couch after my neighbor and I went out and played with his 911 997 GT2 P-car. I rode shotgun and then we swap seats and before we knew, it was almost midnight. As we talked about cars (he also owns a modded C6Z), he asked about the differences in cam sounds and wondered if I ever made a sound compilation; I made this post after crashing on the couch from my outting earlier.

BTW, I don't need much sleep. I often street tune my cars or others late at night when all the goofballs are sleep and it is usually less cops on the road. Yep, just me and machine...and a laptop

Thanks,
Carlos

Carlos,
Very nice products. Hopefully when I learn a little more and do not fear all that added HP, I'll pick one of these up.

Sincerely,
The Rookie-In-Training

uncorrected is what the car really makes at this elevation ((6000ft above sea-level)) corrected is what it "should" make at sea-level.

Hey Carlos, do you have a video of the Panther cam yet? That's the one that you've got me talked in to but I haven't got to hear it yet. Idling would be just fine but if you had one in cabin as it revs would be awesome.

Sorry hombre,

No videos of the Panther just yet, we finished them and off they go. I had it in my car for a while (as with every other cam I sell) and never ever made a video of it.

However, a couple of members had a chance to hear it in person prior and after Xmas. Shawn from Austin TX and Mr. 9sec383 from San Antonio; they may chime in. Or, come to the dyno day this Saturday and you may get a chance to hear one in person.

It sounds a lot like the Mamba cam. The Panther is between the mamba and the widow.

Thanks,
Carlos

Wutz up Carlos.....Gentleman, I can tell you I have seen and heard the beast in person. I personally like it as aggressive as you can think of. This car idles without any issues and the temperatures are unbelievable. I am a big fan of high compression and E-85. This car pops and sounds nasty. If you ever get a chance to see it in person, you will be impressed. Carlos is very passionate about getting usable mods to corvette owners. He wants each and everyone to make as much power as it can, even if it is more than his.

Thanks,
Shawn

Hello folks,

Don't forget to order your cam today

Remember, the Macho and Revised Widow cams are very aggressive and racy units.

The Black Mamba and Black Panther cams are more suited for guys who are looking for a little taste of those racy cams but with more higher DD civility.

Hope this helps

Thanks,
Carlos

whats the difference between the widow cam I have and the revised one (idle, driveability, power gain?) I like the drive-ability of the widow cam I have now, drives like stock over ~1200 (sometimes it will act up in higher gears like 5th and 6th, so I try to keep it over ~1300-1400RPM in those gears) but over all very satisfied

Hello Walhan,

The difference is the valve event timing.

The revised Widow promotes higher cylinder pressure due to the new IVO/IVC/EVO/EVC process and thus slightly better TQ and slightly harder charge on top. Street manners of both cars remain the same while sound is also roughly the same.

Thanks,
Carlos
