Default 10.369 in +1000FT DA-1.45 60ft!!!!!

Well we had a lovely rental scheduled at MIR again Friday Feb 18th. Amazingly this worked out to be almost a 80degree day in the middle of winter. The day started off sticky, humid with 100% cloud cover. Racing started around 9:30-9:45 and the first corvette up broke the rear so I about peed my pants thinking oh crap this is just not a good idea. After a few cars went up I decided to start slowly. With a easy launch and shifts down through I came back for another run. I launched the car around 4800rpm and was rewarded with a 1.48 60ft time! HOT DAYUM! I let the car cool several times partially due to it was crouded with probably around 40+cars easy so it would get backed up. I got to meet up with some old and new friends which was great. Thanks to Paint it Black for the burger and soda lol! As the day went on the temperatures rose from 66*degrees at 9:30 to 73 degrees by 12pm and up to 76degrees by 3:00pm and 78degrees by 4:00pm where we started looking for shade. I did get sun burned aswell LOL.
I have video of the runs and some of the nice guys from the Mercedes and BMW forums took some nice pics of the car and video. I made approx 15+ runs which puts near 70 passes on the Monster Stage 3 clutch that is still working amazingly.

Best run of the day came towards the end.

60ft-1.454 new PB
330ft-4.272new PB
1/8mi-6.642new PB
1/8mph-104.78--down 1.5mph
1000ft- 8.666
1/4mi- 10.369
1/4mph-133.16-down 1.5mph
Time of run 3:54pm
Video of this run!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zC8lsu0PhTA

Honorble mention run:

60ft-1.487
330ft-4.335
1/8mi-6.706
1/8mph-104.68
1000ft-8.734
1/4mi-10.444
1/4mph-132.57mph
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCRbLIZaENM
Video of this run Sebast can make fun of the shifting was horrible on this run but it was the 2nd pass and I was nervous after watching 2 cars break.
Time of run 10:09am Thanks to Adam with a gorgeous BMW supercharged taking the clean video!

Honorble mention run for comparison of weather with similar 60fts to previous best run in -1000FT Da
60ft-1.518 60ft-1.501
330ft-4.387 330ft-4.316
1/8mi-6.749 1/8mi-6.660
1/8mph-104.96 1/8mph-106.05
1000ft-8.770 1000ft-8.662
1/4mi-10.473 1/4mi-10.345
1/4mph-133.13mph 1/4mph-134.60

That is a testimonial of approximately +2000ft DA increase at the same track, same car, same driver, same mods. It goes against what i say that every 1000ft in DA raises or lowers your ET by approximately .10 but it is what it is. Cause if that were the case the 10.36 pass could be a 10.16 pass and I'll be the first to tell you in -1000DA again that will not happen for my car. At best I am thinking 10.24's in its current state with a duplicated 1.45 60ft. So the car has more potential to go much faster yes. Will I make it go faster YES More videos and pictures to come soon everyone and more details. Getting ready to head out with the wifey for a bit

Dear Sebast19x Good luck in your quest to be #3 for a LONG LONG TIME!!!!!!!

Wow. Those are incredible 60's. I would have crapped my pants if the first car dumped its rear. That's just unlucky.

Well I really crapped when the 1st car blew a rear, the 4 car blew a axle or rear (new camaro) and the later a c5 broke the trans/rear. I felt like I was walking on ice all day but I still went out there

It seems like you have a strong one. With my luck, I'd make one pass and be sorry for it. Not that I think these cars are weak but when you combine inferior technique/coordination with uncanny bad luck, it's a recipe for disaster.

Bruce,
Amazing numbers in much less than amazing weather conditions.
Your driving and the capabilities of a bolt-on LS7 continue to
impress and astound me. Congrats on some great driving and a
beast of a car.

Bruce,
Great job again! Launch looks great. You have that under full command. Better air will be giving you the numbers you are looking for.

Bruce I know I'm kidding you alot, but remember, this is you have teach me that kind of jocking !!!

But again, Honestly, I would like to tell you : Great accomplishment man , Last year, Gary have broke the barrier of the 60' with 1.44, and everyone have told that is due to is 4.10 gear. This year, is you with a stock 3.42 !!!! It is completly crazy, that I lost my english !!! lolll

Continue like that, and I will stay 3 for the rest of my life

Just for kidding: Shifting of the run suck really bads This is not the kind of shifting made by robz.....

Congratulation and be proud

P.S. You have a good team with you, shake there hands for me.

Sounds like a fun day of racing!

Those are some nice ETs, particularly considering the warm air, Pipe.

Did you run without front sway bar, passenger seat and mat again?

Thank you !!!
What the hell Bruce, you have lost the axle pipes at the end of the track after the first passes ? You begin to have a lightweight car ...

Good sound of courses

Actually I lost the mufflers due to the one slid off after some bad wheel hop. So it was put it back on to possibly fall off again or just slide the other off. Saved atleast 35lbs!!! LOL!

P.S. Sebast your sig needs some work. That best 60ft needs to read. "NEEDS WORK" lol!
