No kidding? I thought that magazine only liked Priuses.

Very surprised...
Usually they ignore cars like the ZO6 or harp about their not being "practical". I already have "practical"; that's why I bought a ZO6.
I don't get the magazine; did they rate other "high end" cars ? I'd be curious what they say about the Audi R8...

I just got my magazine today and the Z-06 has a score of 92 on Road Test scores, and is #8 of the top 9 of all cars. All the others in the "Best" catagory are German or Japanese, except the Hyundai Genesis 3.8 that is tied with the Z-06.
So is there that much difference between my '08 and the new one they tested? Same engine and drivetrain, right? So I would think that all Z-06s are pretty good cars and CR could care less about performance.
My wife will bury me in mine, meaning I won't be trading it for another one in this lifetime, so I think this is pretty good news. And good on the General for finally building at least one car that can stand toe to toe with the Germans and Japanese. I think American car makers are finally getting the message and putting out a more reliable product (except maybe Chrysler).

Under "Sports Cars: High Performance" (lower priced cars), 2 Mustangs and the 2SS Camaro are recommended. The Dodge Challenger is not.
No question that Ford and GM are making better cars lately.

I'm not surprised. Consumer Reports has been scientifically as objective as possible about pretty much everything they do.
I believe the overall quality on the 08 Z06 I have is almost second to none. My Volvo and Subaru are nowhere near as reliable.
I'm glad CR stepped up and recommended it, but if I recall they also did "recommend" it back in 2008 when I bought mine.
