What is involved in changing pads with the monoblock 6 piston caliper? It looks like the pad could not be removed with the caliper on the vehicle? Is that a solid bridge across the top of the caliper? Thanks!

No, you have to remove the caliper to change the pads, the one piece caliper has a brace/bridge across the back that would prevent you from pulling the pads out without removing the caliper. However, it's pretty easy to remove the Brembo calipers as they are held in place with a bracket that uses 2 10mm socket bolts. But even if you could remove the pads without removing the caliper (like you can on the rear), you still would want to remove the caliper anyway since you need to spread the the pistons back open before you put the new pads in place.

Thankyou for answering the question Hercules.
