Need some transport options for wrecked Z06
I need to move this poor thing from CA to VA. Front left suspension was knocked clean off so it currently does not roll too well It is possible I can have a dolly mounted to that side to facilitate a rolling option. Has anyone had any experience moving a lame duck car and has it added considerably to the cost??

That will buff out with a little Zaino.
But seriously, bolt a dolly on to whatever you can and flatbed it to VA. Good luck with the repairs.

two more options; crane, forklift.

I would just get a car trailer and drag it onto it with a winch.
You could buy a couple of those wheel dollies they sell for moving you car around the garage to help it go on smoother.

I've dragged more than a few wrecks onto car trailers over the years.
A couple years ago, a friend of mine bought a used trailer in TN, carted his wrecked POS car back to Chicago and sold the trailer for more than he bought it for. The trailer didn't have a powered winch, so he bought a cable come-along and winched it onto the trailer.

If it's your trailer, the dollies and or plywood.
I bought 4 sheets. Double stack them and push the car in. The car will dig into the top sheets and silde on the bottom sheets. then just lock it all down as normal.

Oh, and to clarify....I did not wreck this car. My C6 Z06 is just fine This belongs to a close friends brother who had a woman take a right turn across 3 lanes of traffic to get off an off ramp. He was in the right lane when she appeared out of nowhere, said he never had the chance to touch the brake before plowing into her Only 17K miles on the car.....what a heartbreak.
No intentions to fix this car, front drivers frame rail is bent in 1.5 inches along the entire length back to the cowl and the engine cradel fractured/broke in about 5 places, insurance has totaled the car, I am buying it for salvage cost. This is going to be a doner car my 65Corvette Coupe that will have a SRIII tube chassis like my 67 and all of the C6 suspension and supercharged LS7 I talked to a friend today who buys high end salvage cars and he is going to arrange pick up and delivery from CA to VA, cost is $1050.00 coast to coast! Can't beat that with a stick!! Thanks for all of the input and posts. Will keep you posted once I get the car back. There will be alot of the car that I part out in the parts for sale section

2009 17K miles Cyber grey with black interior... GPS, think it's a 2LZ car. I will be selling the TRQ tube back to include trans and diff. I'm basically keeping the engine, all suspension/brakes, wiring, seats and ABS system....the rest will be parted out, so plenty of interior stuff will be available. Will post up in the 4 sale section once I have received and evaluated the car.

When I first opened this and saw the pics I swear my heart skipped a beat. This is my car's twin, with Cyber Grey Metallic paint down to the Spyders in Comp Grey and I just installed Supercar F1 G2 tires. I was tempted for a second to leave work and go home and check my garage. On a serious note, wow, horrible wreck. I see this kind of stupid driving in Houston on a daily basis. All that lady had to do is go down one exit and u-turn. She was a beautiful combo, but I'm biased. Good luck on your '65 build. Glad everyones ok
