[Z06] APSIS Z06 Front Splash Guard Experience

Installed my Splash Guards this evening. I purchased the parts from apsis and went ahead and bought the rubber/vinyl part that is supposed to protect the cars paint. Installation was only a few minutes per side. There was certainly nothing difficult about installing them. The Splash Guards are a good quality piece. The instructions were straight forward, the parts fit nicely, and have a nice finish. Here’s a few other observations:
- You probably already know the Splash Guards are far from inexpensive.
- I can honestly say I’m not crazy about the way they look; they seem to break up some of the clean and simple lines of the Z06.
- I can easily understand them creating turbulence and squirrelly handling at very high speeds; they are one of heavier plastic parts you can hang off your Z06 front quarter panels.
- In spite of a few negatives, if they protect the cars paint I’ll happily use them.
I’ll try and post a few pictures tomorrow. Thanks again to everyone who posted their thoughts and feelings on the parts.

Rubber gasket doesn't keep the guard from rubbing the paint. The guard will move slightly on a constant basis and the gasket then rubs against the paint. After a while the rubbing leaves a mark in the clear coat. No way around it. I tried buffing the marks out but they are still there.

For those of us that live where roads are regularly sprinkled with gravel, like Arizona or Colorado, they do a great job of protecting the paint. Without them, you'll need a repaint; not a few rock chip fixes. So yeah, if you live in Florida and drive on the glass toll roads, you probably don't need them.

Definitely not legally but why buy a 505 hp car if you aren't going to use it? Might as well have a grand sport. but we all buy the car for different reasons I suppose. I personally would prefer to maintain every ounce of performance.

Just a follow up, Got mine on and am really happy with them so far. They fit good and should provide excellent protection. You do have to carefully fit them or else they wont fit that great. IMO you cant really even tell they are add ons because they match the rear splash guards perfectly. I would definitely buy them again.
