APSIS Z06 Front Splash Guard Experience
A lot has already been written about the APSIS Z06 Front Splash Guards. Some people love them; others, not so much. I have not read much of anything lately. The issues seems to have been whether as-shipped they are a good fit for contour of the front quarter panel.
I was wondering, has anyone bought and installed them recently if so, would you mind commenting on your installation experience and saying whether you were satisfied with the end product?
Thanks in Advance.

Great product, easy to install and they will protect your paint from road chips. Fit and finish matches the factory rear splash guards. Could not be happier with the results I have seen so far. I would recommend getting the rubber seal for the edge that sits against the fenders....

Installed them Thursday. Fit great, look good.

Perfect fit, wouldn't go out without them.

I installed the ZR1 guards a couple weeks ago. The fit is good with the exception of the upper tip. The upper tip does not completely cover the OEM piece and looks kinda funky. You can't really see it unless looking for it, but I see it every time I go near the car now. The rubber gasket was also wavy and I ended up pulling it off and re-installing it. They are a fine product all that, but I did expect a bit more when considering they are basically a set of + $400 mud flaps (with shipping).

I had no issue with the upper lip not covering the OEM piece.

I have a set sitting in my garage. I haven't decided if I'm going to use them or not. They came with no hardware. How has everyone atteched them? With 2 screws through the existing 2 holes? I was thinking pop rivets.

Ive seen them on a few cars and never seem to sit flush also the screw looks like its out of place and something the OEM wouldnt do. It could of been well hidden instead of in your face... No offense to anyone who has them and likes them but for me u couldnt pay me to put em on my car even if the fit issues were addressed.

Michael D, mine don't look like that. They come up and over the factory piece.

The Apsis splash guards will significantly reduce damage to the rear quarters of a C6 Z06. Consider the time and the money involved in having the rear quarters repainted because of stone damage.
Front fender liners for a C6 Z06 are approximately $40.00 per side. The Apsis splash guards with the rubber gasket cost $325.00. A quality repaint of the rear quarters--well, you be the judge. If you're not satisfied with the Apsis guards--if you don't like the fit or the look--pull them, replace the fender liners, and sell the guards.

I installed mine last Sunday. No difficulties with the fit. The left side did need a little more "finessing", but they look very nice. I do agree that the screw looks a little funny. I may go through my hardware drawer and see if I have a countersink screw and that should take care of that issue.
I did recall seeing where some folks mentioned that even with the gasket they were seeing a little paint scuffing. So I took some extra clear film I have sitting around (the same stuff as used for a clear bra) and added that under the guard. If anyone else wants to do the same thing, it's easy to do. Just tape some brown package paper up to the fender. Scribe the back edge of the fender line (where it meets up with the OEM inner liner). Loosely install the Apsis guard (attach the bottom screw and hold it on place). Scribe the edge of the Apsis guard. I added about 3/8" beyond, and then you can transfer your brown package paper template to the film and make your own additional protector.
Yeah, it's pricey, but I'm satisfied with the fit and the look and it sure beats the alternative of having the paint blasted off the rear fenders.

I installed a set on my 09 Cyber/Grey Z and they fit fine and look good.
I already had a few chips on my rear fenders, rather have the splash guards than more chips.

So are the Corvettes.
They are not $400. They work for protecting the paint and they look good. Mine are flush too.
Don't be haters on the only product out there that does this. Many have said they where working on an alternative for the past three years and no one has come through.

If I recall correctly the instructions say to tighten the bottom screw under the car first then do the one in the wheel well, I had better luck leaving the one under car a bit loose and tightening the one in the wheel well first for a better and tighter fit. IMO. a must have for a dark color car.
Good luck!
