I've installed one for a customer and I liked it a lot. Car had a nice lope at idle but nothing crazy and still had stock drivability and that was without a tune. I'll need to dig up the numbers he put down I can't remember.

Its probably the cam I'll put in my car.

Yep. 594 RWHP/568lbs-ft torque. It is the best overall street grind in my opinion.

I have seen folks get close to the sweet idle quality I have but nothing beats this profile with high compression for the street.

I'll do an idle video tomorrow.

Oh come on now, those numbers a LITTLE misleading. You toss a 116 Torquer into a car with cleaned up heads, a 102/102 and catted LTs running 93, you're not going to be anywhere near those numbers.

If anyone has followed Jim's build it's one hell of a build with everything done in perfect combination using E85 and spot on tuning.

This is mine using a Torquer on a 114/full bolt on/pump (93)

Jason:

I really like the 110. Question I have is wouldn't the 110+4 start to nose over more in the upper rpm range than the 116? The graph makes it look like the 110+4 just continues to carry power regardless of rpm.

Other than LSA and ICL, these cams are the same lift/duration/lobes correct?

You're right. General camshaft principles say that a narrower lobe separation angle has more peaky power and torque curves and wider lobe separation angles have broader curves, but in this application they are, as you can see in the graph, almost a direct shift of the curve. This is probably telling us that there is something else in the system that is limiting power besides the camshaft. Cylinder heads or intake for example. Keep in mind that as you can see by the large spread in run numbers (C2-7313 and C2-8995) these were two different engines at different times, but we tried to pick engines as identical as possible for the comparison. This was not a back-to-back A-B test.

Correct. The only difference between the Torquer 110 and the Torquer 116 is the lobe timing. Duration and lift are the same.

It simply shows what is capable with this cam with high CR and E85. You can still make crazy power without a crazy cam.

DJ I think you have the best looking engine bay on the forum, the exact look that I plan to go with.

Agreed, but giving those results without adding "but I'm running 13:1 compression and E85" is akin to saying "I'm making 550whp with a .562/.558 211/230 cam" without mentioning that its in an LS9.
