The Johnny O’Connell Signature Suspension line is the result of combining the professional driving skills from four time Le Mans winning Corvette Racing driver, Johnny O’Connell and the engineering expertise of Pfadt Race Engineering to give you a suspension package tuned to perfection. This suspension system has gone through countless engineering revisions and A/B testing on the race track, mountain passes and stretches of pot hole riddled road to provide you with a suspension that provides racecar level road holding ability and the drivability you would expect from your daily driver.
These Johnny O'Connell Shock upgrades are the only OEM quality replacements on the market. Made to the exact travel and durability requirements as the OEM shocks, these upgraded versions have a completely revised damping curve engineering into them. These shocks accomplish 2 things: One is that they remove the harsh ride characteristics associated with the OEM dampers, when at speed on a highway or hitting a bump in a middle of a turn. The other is that they are stiffer in performance applications like quick turn in to get the car planted in a turn, and transient handling moves from left to right and visa versa. These shocks are a "set it and forget it" solution that you can bolt on to your Corvette and know that it was tuned by Johnny and Pfadt to the exact specifciation it needs to be for a perfect performance and smooth ride balance. Had them on for two days now, and I'm starting to realize what I'm feeling.
Pulled out to the left on to the center lane of traffic from the gas station today. And yes it felt more planted more solid. like what you would expect from a racing machine.
The ride appears more stiff but not bumpy. I really like what I've experienced so far. It almost like a different car, but I need more drive time to really get the feel of it now....................So far no regrets......
