My C5 FRC did the same thing, it was crappy to look at. I figured maybe GM had addressed that in the C6, doesn't sound like it.

Let us know how your fix works out!

When I ordered the carpet I asked them to try and cut it a little long on the console side. Hopefully that will allow a little more to tuck under the console side.

Well I must own the other one (IO #197) as it was bought off the showroom floor in Edmonton in May 2012. I got a great deal (my wife actually as it was a birthday present) from a GM dealer who is a neighbour. I have over 20,000 km on it as we drive back and forth to Las Vegas every year where we have a condo. We make a point of going in late September to miss the snow and just hit the Barrett Jackson auction so if you see an IO Carbon with Alberta plates in vegas it's likely my wife and I. Phil.

From my understanding all Limited Edition Carbons are 3LZ optioned only.
The Z06s with the carbon Z07 package you could get 1 to 3LZ packages.

I seen an IO for sale around spring time of this year in the Ontario area. I was thinking of pursuing that car. I don't recall if it was a Canadian Car? Might have been #216, not sure if it sold or not? I haven't seen any other carbons in Edmonton. Between the two of us that makes one SSB and IO. There could be more? I'm going to Vegas in October, I'll keep an eye out for the Alberta plates.

I know the Centennials were like that, but there's atleast one 1LZ out there as shown below in the link...I'm sure most were optioned as 3LZ though.

Looking at those pictures it's a Carbon edition with the 1LZ package I guess.

I found this video interesting. Says 3LZ on the spec sheet but doesn't appear to be?

I think it is a 3LZ. It doesn't have Nav system but that is a $1795 option on my window sticker.

It is not the original window sticker, price is too high by $3K-$5K. It looks like a reproduction sticker. The laminated one I got from the National Corvette Museum looked similar. They print off the sticker based on the VIN only. It has the Z06 Carbon Fiber Package listed ($3K+) separate when it is included in the $15K Carbon Special Edition Package. It also lists the SSB paint as an additional cost, also included in the Carbon Edition package. I had to email a scan of my original sticker for the museum to reproduce it correctly.

I too am struggling with this whole "not a 3LZ" deal..

My car doesn't have nav (thank goodness), but it is still a 3LZ.

How can you have a non-3LZ car with suede seats, leather dash and door panels, suede steering wheel, etc?

I am no options code expert, but maybe someone who is could explain.

I thought that the suede features were exclusive to the Carbon only...part of the whole Carbon package. Maybe there wasn't a specific 3LZ option, those particular items were just included with the Carbon Edition. My .02 cents...

My window sticker still shows a 3LZ option ($7170) separate from the Carbon Edition Package ($15705).

The 3LZ lists:
Custom Leather Wrapped Interior
Bose Premium 7 Speaker System
Additional 9 months XM radio
Power Telescoping Steering Wheel
Heated Seats
Memory Package
Seats, Adjustable Sport Bucket w Perforated Leather Inserts
Power Seat Adjust - Passenger 6-way
Luggage Shade & Cargo Net
Bluetooth for Phone

Obviously the perforated leather seats are replaced by the synthetic
suede interior of the carbon edition package.

Keeping in mind this is a Canadian MSRP window sticker with Canadian pricing. The Z06 Carbon limited edition package is $18605. Then there's the (Custom leather wrap interior package with exclusive colour and 2 tone design) at $5025. Touch screen DVD navigation is listed separately at $2975.
So according to the sticker it shows that you get the seats with the suede inserts when ordering the Carbon limited edition. But the other suede components (Dash arm rests steering wheel etc. )are in a separate option at $5025.

Now the question is did GM sell this car with all these options being a must have or optional.
